Situating Learning:

You are a RAC Technician in Career Air-conditioning Company. Your main task at work is a PACU installer. You
have the experience in bench work and fabrication (brazing) mensuration of electrical quantities using
electrical testing instruments and interpret manufacturer’s manual.

The project supervisor has given you necessary supplies and materials , technical plan/drawing, tools and
equipment and PPE. You are required to install the Package Air-conditioning Unit (PACU) for you to practice in
this particular competency. Your performance will be evaluated how you ;

• Survey Site for Installation


• Install PACU piping system
• Install PACU electrical system
• Install indoor and outdoor unit and accessories

Trainees should be provided with task sheets and job sheets for them to be able to practice and to check if
the performance conforms with the Manufacturer’s Manual and recommendation
