SECTION 1. COMPETING TEAMS

SECTION 2. TEAM NAMES AND COLOR


2.1 The Teams must submit the Name of their team.
2.2 The Team Name and Color is a “First Come, First Serve” basis. Hence,
competing groups should submit the chosen name and color immediately.
2.4 The Name of the Team must be approved and submitted to the Vice Governor,
Venice Roselle Repollo, on or before November 22, 2023.

SECTION 3. MASS
3.2 The students must attend the mass. Attending the mass is compulsory.
3.2 Each team must prepare their offertories for the mass.

SECTION 5. RANKING POINT SYSTEM

5.1. For Each Activity

5.2 At least one representative from each competing team is allowed to be a member
of the tabulation committee. Hence, they must submit the name of the official
representative on or before November 22, 2023, to Department Officer-in-
Charge, Venice Roselle Repollo.

5.3 Overall Champion Ranking


The team winners will be determined according to the total number of points
accumulated from all major and minor activities of the BMOA Days 2023. Each
team will be distinguished as Overall Champion, 1st runner-up, and 2nd runner-up,
as the case may be.

SECTION 7. RIGHTS AND RESTRICTIONS (SPORTS)


7.1 Players are allowed to participate one sport only.

7.2 Competing teams are allowed to have two (2) reserve players in case of a
teammate’s incapacity to play.
7.3 The participants of the Sports Category must provide the following
requirements:
• Parent’s Consent
• Medical Certificate
The deadline of the said requirements will be on or before December 1, 2023. It will
be submitted to the Officer-in-Charge, Ms. Charlotte B. Laride.
7.4 Any player or team who does not appear fifteen (15) minutes after scheduled games
will be disqualified and their opponent will declare the winner by default.
7.5 Any player not included in the official list shall not be allowed to play.
7.6 Official players who are under the influence of intoxicant: liquor or drugs are
subject for examination. Refusal to submit for examination implies guilt and is
strictly prohibited to play.
7.7 Playing half-naked during the game is strictly prohibited.
7.8 All games shall be played in Single Round Robin Elimination. Winners of the
game will be determined by the number of wins. In case of two teams ranked
number one (1), both teams will vie for the championship.
7.9 The discretion for ties shall be determined by the referee of every sport category.
7.10 Any violation of the above- mentioned rules shall be ground for disqualification or
forfeiture of the game, and is subject to the provisions of the SVCI Student Code
of Conduct.

SECTION 8. RIGHTS AND RESTRICTIONS (BUSINESS BEE)

8.1 Participants are allowed to enter one (1) category only.

SECTION 9. RIGHTS AND RESTRICTIONS (BUSINESS CAMP, GLAM NIGHT,


TEACHER IMPERSONATION, SONG SOLO, STREET DANCE, AND SPOKEN
POETRY)

9.1 A participant is allowed to enter two (2) or more activity.


9.2 Business camp is open to all participants from the other activities.
9.3 Official participants who are under the influence of an intoxicant: liquor or drugs are
subject for examination. Refusal to submit for a physical examination implies guilt and
is strictly prohibited to perform.
9.4 Any participant NOT included in the official list shall not be allowed to perform and
compete.

9.5 All participants must be at the designated room assignments thirty (30) minutes before
the commencement of all academic competition. Failure to do so, the category he/she
is going to compete is subject to a one (1) point deduction.
9.6 All performers must be at the backstage of SVCI Inner Auditorium thirty (30) minutes
before the commencement of all activities during the Final Performance. Failure to do
so, the activity he/she is going to perform is subject to a one (1) point deduction.
9.7 Costumes of contestants must adhere to the “Dress Code Policy” of the school.
9.8 For Academic Category, participant(s) who is (are) fifteen (15) minutes late will
automatically disqualified.
9.9 All forms of cheating or coaching of questions committed by any of the representatives
from a specific Team shall automatically disqualify all the contestants of that Team
from joining the competitions, continuing in the competition or from claiming any
reward won through fraudulent means.

9.10 Any display of disobedience to given guidelines or of unruly and inappropriate


behavior may subject the participant concerned to disqualification. The Academic
Committee shall reserve the right to expel a participant displaying such behavior, as
delineated on this paragraph, or on the previous paragraph.

SECTION 10. COMPLAINTS

10.1Any complaint shall be submitted to your respective Department Officers within 24


hours from the time of its occurrence.
10.2 All complaints must be in written form with supporting evidences (e.g., documents,
photos) signed by the complainant and at least two (2) witnesses
10.3 If the officers fail to resolve the said complaints it will be directly reported to the
Department Adviser, Mr. Aldrien Catipay.

SECTION 11. PROPS, MUSIC, AND SOUND EFFECTS

11.1 Props, Music, and Sound Effects may be used by the contestants to add more color in
the presentation, but must adhere to the following provisions:
a. Any recorded/taped music and sound effects may be used by contestants,
provided that the chairman of the technical committee and the musical
director must be informed ahead of time.
b. The use of liquefied gas, harmful chemicals, gasoline, firecrackers, live
animals, and other dangerous props and effects are strictly prohibited.

c. All props must not exceed 8ft. in height and the use of any form of vehicle
is strictly prohibited.
d. Live music is strictly prohibited. All music must be recorded or taped and
must be submitted in flash drive or in CD forms.
e. Props, costumes, and sound effects must be explained to the Department
Officers, if the participants will use props, costumes, and sound effects
during the final presentation.
f. Only two (2) minutes is allowed for the installation of props and other two
(2) minutes for dismantling of the props, which is not included to the time
limit. Excess of time given is subject for one (1) point deduction.
11.2 The allotted time starts when a performer/props men enters the stage or performance
area and automatically stop when the last performer/propsmen exit the
stage/performance areas.
11.3 There will be no TIE BREAKER. In case of ties, winners shall be proclaimed.
11.4 Any violation of the above-mentioned rules and unsportsmanlike manner shall be
ground for disqualification

FOR INDIVIDUAL AWARDS

GENERAL GUIDELINES
1. Participants must be a bona fide BSBA/BSOA students of St. Vincent’s College
Inc. A. Y. 2023-2024

2. The official venue will be held at the SVCI Quadrangle in the evening (possible
changes may apply depending on the weather condition).

3. Participants shall wear their best outfit they have that fits on the said event's
theme, “Glitz and Glamour.”

4. The judging proper shall start on opening program of the Glam Night.

5. During the event, the Board of Judges shall be roaming around the venue,
selecting the 5 deserving individuals.

6. Once the selected individuals were announced, participants shall have the floor
to showcase themselves.

7. The judges' decision will be final and irrevocable.

BMOA KING AND QUEEN 2023 GUIDELINES

1. Nominations for BMOA King and Queen 2023 is open on December 8, 8:00 to
11:00 in the morning and shall be submitted at the technical desk.

2. Nominators shall submit the complete name of their nominees and year level per
team.

3. Nominated students must be a bona fide BSBA/BSOA Students of St. Vincent’s


College Inc. Department officers excluded.

4. The most nominated students shall be the candidates for BMOA King and Queen
2023.

5. Voting will open at exactly 8:30PM until 8:40PM via google forms.

6. Winner shall have their dance on the dancefloor.

SPOKEN POETRY

Guidelines:

1. Each team must have one (1) participant for this category.

2. The participant’s piece should have a message about being a student enrolled in
the BS in Business Administration and BS in Office Administration.

3. Language to be used can either be in English, Filipino, in vernacular or a mix of


two (2) language.

4. Participants are given a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of five (5) minutes
to perform including their entrance and exit.

5. Participants must not include foul words in their submitted piece.

6. Each competing team shall submit the piece to the Department Officer-in-
Charge, Vanessa Lyn S. Büchner on or before December 6, 2023.

TEACHER IMPERSONATION

Guidelines:

1. The participating team is free to choose any teacher from the College of Business
Education to impersonate.

2. The competing group will be given a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of
seven (7) minutes to perform including entrance and exit

3. A minimum of one (1) and a maximum of ten (10) participants in a group are
allowed.

4. Each competing team shall submit the name of the chosen teacher to impersonate
to the Department Officer-in-Charge, Vanessa Lyn S. Büchner on or before
November 24, 2023.

5. Competing teams must not impersonate the same teacher as the other teams.

6. The teacher impersonation is a “First Come, First Serve” basis. Hence, competing
groups should submit the name of the teacher they are going to impersonate before
the week of event to the Department Officer-in-Charge, Vanessa Lyn S.
Büchner.

7. Any Violation of the above-mentioned rules is subject for a one (1) point deduction.

STREETDANCE COMPETITION

Guidelines:
1. Each team must have a minimum of five (5) and a maximum of ten (10)
participants.
2. The group shall be given the minimum of three (3) and a maximum of five
(5) minutes to perform including their entrance and exit.

3. The music will be of free choice. Song remix is allowed.

4. There shall be no derogatory and/or foul words in any part of the music.
Having such will be subject for disqualification.

5. Touching of the crotch and/or any offensive signs and insulting gestures or
movements are strictly prohibited. Disciplinary actions will be undertaken
and may be subject for disqualification.

6. Submission of music is on or before December 3, 2023 to the Department


Officer-in-Charge, Vanessa Lyn S. Büchner
.
7. Any violation of the above-mentioned rules is subject for a one (1) point
deduction.

Guidelines:
1. Each competing team must have one (1) representative for the Song Solo
Category.
2. The song may be in English or Filipino.
3. The artist and song writer of the chosen song may be an international or local
artist.
4. Contestant must submit an original track of the singer and the latest version of
the song.
5. Song medley is not allowed.
6. Participants will be given a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of five (5)
minutes to perform including their entrance and exit.
7. The vocal solo competition is on “First Come, First Serve” basis. Hence,
contestant should submit the title of the chosen song on or before December 3,
2023 through the Department Officer-in-Charge, Vanessa Lyn S. Büchner.
8. Any violation in above-mentioned rules is subject for a one (1) point deduction.

PROMOTIONAL VIDEO
Mechanics
1. The participating team may feature an individual or group highlighting the school
and our department.
2. Each team must submit one (1) entry only.
3. Language to be used must be in Vernacular and/or English.
4. Videographers and Editors must be a bona fide BSBA/BSOA Students of St.
Vincent’s College Inc.
5. The length of the video must be at least 3 minutes and shall not exceed 5 minutes.
It must be submitted in digital format (mp4) with at least 720p resolution.
6. Entries must be submitted on or before December 6, 2023 and shall be submitted
to the Department Officer-in-Charge, Vanessa Lyn S. Büchner.
7. Entry must not contain watermarks.
8. Entry must not have been awarded in any other video contests and/or commercially
published whether for news, advertising or otherwise.
9. File name of the video must include the name of the teams.

LOGO MAKING COMPETITION


2. This category is open to all students.
3. A point shall be earned by the team where the maker of the winning logo belongs.
4. The logo must be submitted on or before December 6, 2023 to the assigned
Department Officer, Vanessa Lyn S. Büchner. The artist will be held accountable
to any issue that may arise with regards to the originality and authenticity of the
design.
5. The logo will be judged according to the following criteria:
a. Creativity and Color Used 40%
b. Originality 30%
c. Relevance to our Department 30%
6. They will be judged accordingly and winners will be declared as 1st, 2nd and so on.
The winning logo will automatically be the official property of St. Vincent’s
College Incorporated under the Business and Management Education Department.

QUIZ BEE
Mechanics:
1. A team shall consist of one (1) pair per competing team.
2. The coverage of the quiz is General Knowledge about Business.
3. The quiz competition will be composed of three rounds: Novice Level composed
of seven (7) questions bearing two (2) points each, Skilled Level composed of
seven (7) questions bearing three (3) points each and Expert Level composed of
seven (7) questions bearing five (5) points each.
4. The novice level must be answered within fifteen (15) seconds, the skilled level
within thirty (30) seconds and the expert level within sixty (60) seconds.
5. If in case there is a tie, there will be a clincher round. In this round, the tied pairs
will answer questions picked by the quiz master. Each correct answer is worth two
(2) points. The pair to get ten (10) points first will be held the winner.
6. Each pair will be given illustration boards, chalks and erasers to answer. No
unnecessary things must be found on the pairs’ desks.
7. The quiz master will only read the question twice. The team will only start
answering after the quiz master will say “Go”.
8. After the allotted time, the bell will ring and the contestants shall raise their both
hands.
9. Each item will be checked immediately after answering. The decision of the quiz-
master will be final and will not be subjected to any change.

10. The participants shall not be allowed to use mobile, other electronic instruments or
any resources.
11. The winners will be determined by their grand total scores summed up from their
level total scores. The competing teams will be recognized as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placers
accordingly.
12. Audience shall not give any hints or clues to the competitors.
13. Replacement of any participant of a team is not allowed.

TRADE FAIR

Guidelines:
1. The three (3) teams from BMED will be participating in the trade fair.

2. SVJMA Store must not be used as a booth or selling means during the Trade
Fair.

3. Students may participate individually or in groups. Each team must complete


the registration process.

4. Each team must only spend a capital of five-hundred (500) pesos only.

5. Capital used for the selling of goods shall be shouldered by each team.
Earnings shall be returned to the teams and be used however they want after
the event.

6. Booth preparation begins at 1:00pm on the event day. All stores must be set up
by 2:00pm ready for business in the Old Volleyball Court.

7. Display materials, including tables and chairs, will be provided by the teams.
Participants are encouraged to bring additional materials to enhance their
exhibit.

8. Each competing teams must ensure their booths are manned throughout the
event.

9. At the end of the Trade Fair, each team shall submit a record book containing

10. Any violation of the mentioned rules above shall incur five (5) points
deduction each violation.

11. Respect the space and exhibits of fellow participants.

12. Maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere throughout the event.

13. Follow safety guidelines, especially if exhibits involve interactive elements.

Registration Process:
1. Participants must complete the registration form. The teams may contact the
Executive Secretary of BMED, Charlotte B. Laride. The deadline for
registration is on December 1, 2023.

2. Clearly indicate the chosen products and provide a brief description of the
products.

3. Late registrations will not be accepted.

Judging:
1. A panel of judges will evaluate exhibits based on creativity, innovation, presentation,
and relevance to the chosen category.
2. Judges' decisions are final.

Clean-Up:
1. Participants are responsible for cleaning up their booth spaces at the end of the event.
2. Any materials brought in for the event must be removed promptly.

BUSINESS BEE MECHANICS

Guidelines:
• The participants of one of the categories of Business Bee is not
allowed to participate in the other category.

PICK & SELL CHALLENGE:

1. Each team shall have four (4) participants in a group.

2. Each group will be given three (3) minutes to prepare a compelling sales pitch
and up to two (2) minutes to present their sales pitch for the given product.

3. Each group shall have one (1) to two (2) representatives for the sales pitch.

4. The winning team shall earn additional points to the overall score.

PALA-DESISYON YARN?:

1. Each team shall have four (4) participants in a group.

2. Each group will be given three (3) minutes to study the scenario and devise their
financial decision and up to two (2) minutes to present their financial decision
and its basis.

3. Each group shall have one (1) representative to discuss their financial decision.

BUSINESS CAMP

Guidelines:
1. Each competing teams must have five (3) sub teams with sixteen (16) members
each sub teams. A total of forty-eight (48) participants from each competing teams.
2. The list of groups from each team must be submitted to Vice Governor, Venice
Roselle Repollo, on or before November 25, 2023.

Rules and Mechanics:


1. There would be 15 teams all in all. Each team will be composed of 10 members.
2. Teams must perform and complete the task in each station to obtain their next clue.
3. The OICs will provide clues and/or consequences to the teams per station. Clues will
guide the teams for the next station, while consequences will be given to those teams
who cannot give the exact answers.
5. In case something gets wrong, ask for assistance from the OIC in every station.
6. Upon arriving on one station, teams must present their “station reward” in preceding
the next station.
7. First come, first served basis apply.
8. The Officer-in-Charge will not be responsible for any damage or accident, made by
the players.
9. The participants must not say any foul words, must follow the rules/task that is given
in every station, must not cheat otherwise points will be deducted.

SPORTS GUIDELINES
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

PURPOSE
➢ It is a game especially designs to build strong foundation in developing positive
values and character through their participation. It also aims to enhance the
development of basic skills and productive exposure in games between and among
young players, providing unique experience for fun, enjoyment, and eventually
leading the way to a long-term involvement in the sports.

OBJECTIVE OF THE GAME


➢ The game shall be developmental in nature and approach. Use sports (basketball)
in teaching values and principles as a developmental tool for the biggest game
called life. serve as a venue in developing teamwork, leadership, play ethics and
trust, likewise, develop camaraderie, goodwill, sportsmanship, discipline, and
others life skills values inherent in the practice and participation in sports so that

ELIGIBILITY
➢ Based on the latest BASKETBALL GUIDELINES

TEAM COMPOSITIONS
➢ Team shall be composed of not more than 12 team’s members.

TEAM UNIFORM
➢ The players must be wearing sports appropriate attire during the game.
➢ A player who is not wearing the correct attire may not allowed to play.

PLAYER PLAYING REGULATIONS


➢ During a basketball game, only five players from each team are allowed to be on
the court during the game.
➢ Normal substitution procedures shall apply in all periods.

RULES OF CONDUCT:

➢ Technical Fouls any players/coach who display unsportsmanlike or disrespectful
act such as slashing of neck, showing of dirty fingers pointing of accusing finger

and trash talking or shouting bad words /foul languages, contesting call, arguing
with the officials and others.
➢ Personal Foul a player causing contact with an opposing playmate, which gives
unfair advantage and such a contact are neither intentional not flagrant.
➢ Foul a player causing excessive contact which may cause or have caused injury to
an opponent such as throwing punch or etc.

VOLLEYBALL (WOMEN)
MECHANICS
• There must be 12 participant(s) each team
• The team must consist of six (6) girls and (6) boys

Team consists of:


• Two (2) Libero
• Two (2) Setter
• Two (2) Middle Blocker/Hitter
• Three (3) Outside Hitter
• Three (3) Opposite Spiker
• The all to play rule will be implemented (round robin)
• Different sets of players EXCEPT the libero will play in the 1st and 2nd
sets.

• Regular substitution will return when the match score reaches 16.
• The 3rd, 4th and 5th sets are standard play.

THE SERVE:
• Server must serve from behind the end line (dark green/blue) until after contact.
• Ball may be served underhand or overhand.
• Ball must be clearly visible to opponents before serve.
• Serve must be returned by a bump only. No setting or attacking a serve.

SCORING:
• Rally scoring will be used.
• There will be a point scored on every score of the ball.
• Offense will score on a defense miss or out of bounds hit.
• Defense will score on an offensive miss, out of bounds hit, or serve into the net.
• Game will be played to 25 points (1st to 4th set) and 15 points (5th set)
• Must win by 2 points.

ROTATION:
• Team will rotate each time they win the serve.
• Players shall rotate in a clockwise manner.
• There shall be 6 players on each side.

PLAYING THE GAME:


• Player may not hit the ball twice in succession (a block is not considered a hit).
• Ball may be played off the net during a volley and on serve.
• A ball touching a boundary line is good.
• A legal hit is contact with the ball by a players’ body above and including the waist which
does
not allow the ball to visibly come to a rest.
• If two or more players contact the ball simultaneously, it is considered one play and the
players
involved may not participate in the next play.
• A player must not block or attack a serve.
• Switching positions will be allowed only between front line players. (after the serve only).

BASIC VIOLATIONS:
• Stepping on or over the line on a serve.
• Failure to serve the ball over the net successfully.

• Hitting the ball illegally (carrying, palming, throwing, etc).


• Touches of the net with any part of the body while the ball is in play. If the ball is driven
into the
net with such force that it causes the net to contact an opposing player, no foul will be
called, and
the ball shall continue to be in play.
