EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Deep Fake Image and Video Detection is crucial in today's digital landscape to combat the rising threat of
manipulated media. With the advancement of machine learning techniques, deep fake technology has
become increasingly sophisticated, enabling the creation of convincingly realistic but entirely fabricated
visual content. This poses a significant risk, as deep fakes can be exploited to spread misinformation,
damage reputations, and undermine the authenticity of digital media. The need for robust detection
mechanisms is paramount to mitigate the potential societal, political, and security implications,
safeguarding the integrity of visual information and restoring trust in digital content.

PROJECT PURPOSE
The purpose of the Deep Fake Image and Video Detection project is to develop and implement an
advanced system for identifying manipulated media created through deep fake technology. This project
aims to address the growing threats posed by deceptive visual content, which has the potential to spread
misinformation, erode trust in digital media, and pose security risks. By leveraging cutting-edge machine
learning, computer vision, and artificial intelligence technologies, the project seeks to provide a reliable
and efficient solution for detecting deep fake images and videos across various platforms.

BUSINESS OBJECTIVES

The primary business objectives of the Deep Fake Image and Video Detection project are centered
around enhancing digital content integrity and mitigating the risks associated with manipulated media. By
developing a state-of-the-art detection system, the project aims to fortify the reliability of visual
information, thereby combating the spread of misinformation and disinformation.

PROJECT DETAILS
The project involves the research, development, and implementation of cutting-edge deep fake detection
algorithms, encompassing both images and videos. The team will explore advanced machine learning
models, computer vision techniques, and real-time analysis to stay ahead of evolving deep fake
technologies. The system will be designed for seamless integration with major social media platforms and
other content-sharing services. Additionally, a user-friendly interface will be developed to enable easy
access and understanding.

REQUIREMENTS

 Target: Images and videos (choose both or specify)

 Deepfake types: General or specific (facial swaps, voice cloning, etc.)
 Platform: Web, mobile app, etc.
 Features: Upload, analysis, results display, element inspection (optional)
 Ethics and society: User privacy, technology misuse prevention
 Resources: Budget, data, computing power limitations

SCOPE STATEMENT
 Project focus: Are you targeting both images and videos or just one? Which specific types of
deepfakes are you interested in detecting?
 Detection approach: Will you use machine learning, specific algorithms, or another method?
 User interaction: Are you building a web interface, mobile app, or something else? What
functionalities will it offer?
 Deliverables: What are the tangible outputs of this project (model, interface, report, etc.)?
 Exclusions: What aspects are outside the scope of this project (legal implications, content
moderation, etc.)

DELIVERABLES

 Benchmark reports: Detailed reports on the model's performance on benchmark datasets.

 Real-world case studies: Testing the model on real-world scenarios and sharing the results.
 Open-source code: Share the source code of your model and interface for public accessibility and
development.
 Training data library: If relevant, a curated dataset of real and deepfake images/videos for further
research and development.
