I. RATIONALE
In this month of November, DepEd observed the 89 th National Book Week Celebration. This
weeks’ celebration is an avenue for learners to be much oriented, informed and engaged in the
magical and exceptional world of reading books. That, book is not all about going into the library and
reading your favorite book. It’s also about living with the characters and taking an inspiration from
their stories to our real lives. The theme of this year’s Book Week Celebration: “Read. Reread.
Relive.” As if the literature speaks that written stories, documentaries or any other letters tells life and
brings an impact into someone’s life.
Thus, to culminate the celebration, the Villa Aurora Elementary School, answered the call and
conducted the National Book Week Celebration.

VI. OBJECTIVE:
Conduct Culmination Program on National Book Week Celebration
Observing National Book Week Celebration, is reminding us how reading is so essential. This
inform and give realization to every learner the importance of this learning area. That learning to read
opens up great opportunities to an individual life- this is their ticket to countless adventures in life. On
November 24 2023, morning; Villa Aurora Elementary School conducted the culmination day for
National Book Week Celebration. The event was welcomed by Christopher D. Polancos, newly-
elected barangay chairman. Next, Sir Mark Anthony M. Olleras shared an inspirational message to
learners and parents on the importance of celebrating the book and how
essential reading is to children. He also presented the competitions or games where pupils could join.
Sir Mark Anthony C. Copino was in-charge of the Bookmark Making and BookFace Competition. Sir
Dionel P. Posion handled the Story Telling Activity, meanwhile Ma’am Ma. Linda C. Yanga took
participants and headed the Spelling Bee Contest. Read- A- Thon Competition was headed by yours
truly, Jessa E. del Pilar. The Parade of Book Characters was held inside the Villa Aurora ES Hall
wherein some of the contestants wore their fiction story-inspired costumes. The School Head and
teachers judged every competition and games thoroughly.
Awarding of winners was done at the end and everyone participated in making this activity a
success.
