This feature introduces 4-branch diversity reception per sector, with maximum ratio baseband combining of four
uplink signals.
Closed loop UL power control complements the basic open loop UL power control. It is based on eNodeB’s
measurements of UL signal level and quality. Of the measurement data the eNodeB determines an UL power increase
or decrease step and commands the UE (user equipment) to increase or decrease the current UL transmit power by
this step
The number of OFDM symbols used for PDCCH is adapted to the required amount of CCEs (control channel elements).
This feature provides detailed subscriber-oriented information at a call-level for one or more specific UEs. The
operator can activate subscriber and equipment tracing for a limited period of time for specific analysis
When this feature is activated on cell-level, all UEs served by that cell and provided with required capabilites are
configured to make periodic intra-frequency measurements and measurement reports.
With this feature it is possible to follow the connections ongoing in a cell and verify the intended functionalities
within a cell.
This feature introduces measurement reports that will be used for network optimization purposes.
The LTE1697: Timing Advance Histogram PM-counter feature introduces timing advance (TA) histogram
performance measurements.
LTE1914: RIP (Received Interference Power) measurement report extension/Support RIP initiated alarms feature
allows the user to measure RIP through cell trace.
The LTE1931: Measurement Report addition with UE Uplink SINR feature enables the eNB to support UE UL SINR
measurement. The UE UL SINR measurement report is configured using NetAct
The LTE1935: PM counters for E-RAB HO incoming; RRC/ERAB setup time feature implements additional PM
counters.
The measurement report is used for radio coverage optimization purpose both for intra-LTE and Inter-RAT.
The LTE2054: Measurement Report addition with PDCP KPI counter subset feature extends the LTE1053: Real-time

on S1/X2 interfaces (dual stack).
The LTE955: IPv6 for Management Plane feature introduces the IPv6 in the management plane (M-plane) only.
The LTE132: VLAN based traffic differentiation feature provides the support of traffic differentiation on layer 2.
This feature eliminates the need for a separate switch device at the eNB site. This means that the operators can
reduce CAPEX and OPEX. The built-in switch is QoS aware.
The LTE10: EPS bearers for conversational voice feature allows to introduce high-quality managed IMS-based
conversational voice services in LTE.
Support of S1 Flex
With LTE7: Support of Multiple EPS Bearer brings the following changes to the packet scheduler functionality:•The
UL/DL scheduler considers up to four non-GBR DRBs per UE (proportional fair treatment of different UEs depending
on radio channel quality and on data availability of (multiple) radio bearers.
LTE9: Service Differentiation brings the following changes to the packet scheduler functionality:•The scheduler in
time domain (UL and DL) applies (configurable) QCI-specific relative weight values to non-GBR bearers. It supports
relatively fair treatment of different UEs depending on weight values and data availability of a single or multiple data
radio bearer.
In addition to the standardized QCI characteristics of the 3GPP Release 8/9, an operator of a network is free to define
QCI characteristics particular to the network in 3GPP.

The UEs with the Secondary component carrier (SCC) activated are scheduled by separate and coordinated DL
schedulers. Only non-GBR data could be sent via SCC.
This feature LTE496: Support of QCI 2,3 and 4 allows the operator to offer GBR (guaranteed bit rate) features with
higher bit rates as the QCI = 1 service.
This feature LTE497: Smart admission Control required to prevent congestion on “guaranteed” resources and this is
for GBR traffic
This feature LTE534: ARP based admission control for E-RABs replaces the permanent admittance (from releases
before) by a withdrawable acceptance. In case of a resource limitation, the eNB may withdraw the admittance from
an already admitted E-RAB to use its resources for admittance of a more important E-RAB
The LTE1231: Operator specific GBR QCIs feature allows the operator configuration, in addition to the standardized
GBR QCIs (1-4), additional GBR QCIs in the operator-specific QCI range.
The operator can define up to 21 additional QCIs for non GBR EPS bearers. The QCI value for each QCI is operator
configurable in the range from 128 to 254.

for Release 9 (and subsequent) UEs.
Single radio voice call continuity (SRVCC) to GSM provides mechanism to handover (HO) user equipments (UEs),
which have a QoS class indicator (QCI)-1
This feature defines the area at the borders of uplink (UL) band where neither physical uplink shared channel
(PUSCH) nor physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), and physical random access channel (PRACH) are allocated to
user equipment (UE).
With this feature LTE1617: RLF Triggered Handover an additional trigger for a handover is introduced.
The load is better deployed over the networks (FDD,TDD). Therefore, the end user gets a higher quality of his calls
and a less call failure rate.

CoMP set.
The LTE944: PUSCH masking feature provides an option for masking physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) sub-
areas that are not supposed to be granted to the UEs with data in the uplink (UL) transmission buffer. This feature
provides a flexible way of handling the UL interference problems, such as static reuse schemes.

transceiver station (BTS) and informs the operator about the failed configuration update when the BTS fails to
connect to its management network after a configuration update.

The LTE2051: Measurement based Idle Mode Load Balancing feature enhances the Idle Mode Load Balancing (IMLB)
mechanism. In the enhanced mechanism, the eNodeB uses the A4 based measurement to check the quality of an LTE
