NARRATIVE REPORT ON SIMULTANEOUS TREE-PLANTING ACTIVITY

To promote environmental preservation and instill responsibility among Filipino children, Taguitic
Integrated School joins the Department of Education’s project entitled Deped’s 236,000 Trees – A
Christmas Gift for the Children. A total of 7 pink trumpet trees were planted in the premises of the school
with tree guards to protect the trees. The activity begun at exactly 8:00 in the morning where teachers with
the school principal stride along the slopy area of the school near the grade 10 building to plant the pink
trumpet trees. A total of 10 teachers and 20 learners participated in the said activity. Further, the project
fosters camaraderie and environmental awareness among children and teachers. Aside from the fact that
trees provide shade, improve air quality, and create a calming atmosphere, they also contribute to the
beautification of the school.
