Mega Job Fair Volunteer Duties and Responsibilities

At our Volunteer Fair, we greatly value the dedication and enthusiasm of our student volunteers. Your roles are pivotal to
ensuring the event runs smoothly and successfully.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your assigned timeslot.
Below are your key responsibilities:
1. Direction Guides / Set-up Coordinators:
 Act as ambassadors for the event, welcoming exhibitors and guiding them to their designated booth areas.
 Help direct exhibitors to their assigned spots, ensuring a smooth and organized setup process.
 Provide clear instructions on event logistics, schedules, and any special requirements.

2. Set-up/Tear-down Crew:
 Assist in setting up and tearing down various event areas, including registration desks, information booths, and
signage.
 Ensure all event materials and supplies are arranged and displayed neatly.
 Collaborate with the Direction Guides to coordinate the exhibitor setup process.

3. Vendor Equipment and Employer Parking Assistance:


 Assist exhibitors and vendors with setting up and dismantling their booths and equipment.
 Provide support for any technical or logistical issues exhibitors may encounter.
 Ensure vendors have all necessary supplies and are comfortable with their booth setup.
 Assist employers in registering their vehicle at the designated parking registration kiosk

4. Registration Table Sign-In Coordinators
 Register attendees and exhibitors as they arrive, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
 Monitor and record attendee information at entrance checkpoint
 Assist with managing lines and ensuring attendees move smoothly through the registration process.

4. Entrance and Exit Security


 Monitor entrance and exit points to prevent unauthorized entry and maintain a safe and secure environment
 Maintain a friendly, professional, but vocal presence in the entrance and exit area

5. Employer Lunch Room Security:


 Monitor access to the employer lunchroom to ensure only authorized individuals enter.
 Maintain a friendly, professional, but vocal presence in the lunchroom entrance area.
 Address any concerns or issues that may arise in a courteous and timely manner.

6. Career Services Resource Booth Representative:


 Staff the Career Services Resource Booth, providing information and resources to students and exhibitors.
 Familiarize yourself with Career Services offerings and be prepared to answer questions.
 Promote the available resources and services to student attendees.
 Non-students are directed to Community Employment Services
