We look forward to seeing you on the morning of Saturday, January 13, 2024, for the BSS Assessment.
Registration will take place between 8:30 - 8:50 am at the Russell Hill Road entrance (west side of the
school). As we will be setting up beforehand, we ask that you arrive no earlier than 8:30 am.

You will write the assessment in one of our classrooms and we will begin promptly at 9:00 am. There will be
many people available that day to guide you to where you need to be.

Things to bring:
• Pencil(s), pen(s), eraser
• Calculator (for Gr. 11 applicants, please bring a scientific calculator)
• A water bottle and, if you want, a light snack, just in case you need some hydration or energy.

For the Math portion of the assessment, you are permitted to use a calculator. Please note that you will not
be allowed to use a cell phone calculator during the assessment.

For the Writing portion of the assessment, you will be asked to read a short article, answer a few questions,
and write a response to a prompt.

The assessment will run from 9:00 - 11:00 am. The math is 40 minutes long, and the writing will be 50
minutes; however, we have also included time for settling in and instruction.

After dropping you off, your parents can return to the school to pick you up at 11:00 am at the Russell Hill
Road entrance.

A reminder that you should stay at home if you are not feeling well on that day. We will work with your family
to make other arrangements for the assessment.
