Agriculture Department Mandate

The Agriculture Department is committed to the fourfold of the College Instruction, Research, Extension and Production and to help accelerate agriculture industry
towards the socio-economic upliftment of the people in the province of Apayao.

Agriculture Department Goals and Objectives


1. To promote undergraduate instruction to different field of agricultural sciences;
2. To produce technologically informed, skilled and employable graduates in different agriculture discipline;
3. To generate, verify and package appropriate technologies in production; and
4. Provide technological advice and services to local farmers of Apayao and elsewhere in the upland.

I. COURSE DESCRIPTION

Basic plant propagation and nursery management.

II. COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the end of the course, the students should be able to:


1. Identify some recent technologies on plant propagation and nursery management.
2. Discuss the history, importance of plants, propagation and nursery management.
3. Discuss the basic concepts and practices of plant propagation and nursery management.
4. Discuss the socio-economic, cultural and political issues on plant propagation and nursery management in relation to agricultural sustainability.
