Unit of Competency Install and Configure Computer Systems

General Instruction:
Given the tools, equipment and materials, you are expected to install
and configure computer system in accordance to the following tasks within
five (5) hours.
Specific Instructions:
1. Request for the list of needed tools, equipment and materials.
2. Prepare the practical area.
3. Wear personal protective accessories.
4. Apply OH&S Policies and Procedure
A. PC Assembly and Disassembly
5. Disassemble the component parts and list the main parts and its
specifications.
6. Assemble again the components.
B. BIOS Configuration and POST
7. Test the assembled computer to check if it will boot or not.
C. Installer Preparation
8. Create a bootable USB flash drive.
9. Prepare the driver and application software installers.
D. Installation
10. Install the OS, drivers and application software.
11. Conduct stress test and documentation.
