Job Description: -

Education: Diploma in Safety & Health.

Work Experience: The person should have at least 10 years of experience and completed a minimum 6
projects in CSA construction management.
The person should have skills in managing vendor and construction activities on the floor.

Completing safety and environmental inspections, identifying issues and developing corrective action
plans to ensure compliance with applicable safety, health and environmental regulations of state and
local regulations by Conducting safety training orientation sessions.

ü Ensure that (EHS) policies and procedures are followed, Monitored and used for the storage and
disposal of hazardous chemicals and materials Monitoring

ü Identify and anticipate safety and health concerns and hazards by surveying environmental,
operational, and occupational conditions and render opinions on new procedures and recommend
preventative programs

ü Develop safety campaigns, safety systems, policies, and procedures, and train management and
employees on rules and regulations

ü Conduct safety inspections and investigate violations to ensure safety procedures are being followed
and counsel managers and employees accordingly

ü Maintain worker training schedules and complete all required regulatory documentation, 40-hour
OSHA, hazardous waste operations, and emergency response course

ü Responsible for all aspects of OSHA compliance including management, documentation, training,
underwriting, and claims processing, OSHA accident investigations and audits. Assisted clients with
development of safety programs; developed on-site training program subsequently

ü Developing beneficial relationships with external organisations and professional bodies.

 Ensuring that health and safety processes are established and in place.

 Managing team workload and prioritizing it according to risk and importance.

 Assisting with the development of Health and Safety Management plans.

 Driving a culture of safety on site to support the delivery of performance metrics.

 Obtaining legal consents, licenses and exemptions.

 Monitoring and assessing the work of third-party contractors.

 Collecting, recording, collating and then analyzing data.


 Enforcing timely corrective action where improvements are required.

ü Identifying risks and trends and then taking appropriate action to minimize, mitigate or eliminate
them.

ü Visual inspection of light and heavy equipment’s and maintaining weekly checklists

ü promotions, poster’s, notice boards and by involving the employees in periodic safety walks and job
specific training sessions.
 Conduct monthly committee meeting with the department managers and staff.
 Preparing task specific Job safety analysis and RA to the work activities with reference to the WMS in
co-ordination with the construction manager, involved employees and staff.
 Conduct task launch meetings with the engineers and responsible supervisors based on the approved
JHA/RA.
 Follow up pre task with foreman.
 Delivering induction training to the potential clients and visitors.
 Prepare and update fire exit & emergency action plan on a periodic basis.
 Participate in safety walks/tours with clients and PMC on weekly basis and identify any
noncompliance or violation to
 site safety practices.
 Preparing closeouts against the raised observation/violation report raised by PMC/client.
ü Organizing safety promotions such as national safety day and world environment day with the work
force and staff.
ü Assist the PSM (project safety manager) in internal and external safety audits.
ü Preparing action plan for the identified audit points and circulating to the responsible in charge for
making effective
ü Conduct weekly engineers meeting with all site engineers to discuss the identified hazard, risk and
project near miss cases and incidents.
ü STOP any work activity in case the process is unsafe or hazardous that reporting can lead to an
accident.
ü Carry out the detailed investigations in the event of any accident/near miss and preparation of
preliminary investigation and detailed incidents reports.
ü Supervise the recording and analysis of information on injuries, damage and loss, assess accident trend
and review overall safety performances.
 Ensure that any lessons learning’s/points are well communicated to the line management and the
workforce.
ü Promote awareness of injury prevention and environmental protection and damage controls to all
level of the employees.
ü Assist with the HSE induction and training of all levels of employees of the project.
ü Provide feedback on safety policies or procedures adopted.
ü Liaise with sub-contractors for effective implementation of project health and safety rules and safety
operating procedures.
ü Conduct periodic emergency mock drills and rescue operations to familiarize the work force on how to
react during emergency conditions.
ü Review plans and a specification for new machinery, tools and heavy equipment’s to make sure they
meet all the safety standards and legal requirements.
 Daily observation report.
 Damage reporting.
ü Preparation of all type of checklists like scaffolding, work at height, housekeeping etc.
ü Work Permit issuing for special purpose works like hot work, oil and gas pipelines work, confined
space, electrical work etc.
ü Monthly inspection of all heavy equipment.
ü Monitoring of first aid boxes.

Preferred: Person should know about the scaffolding erecting.
