SUBJECT : Spot Report Service of Warrant of Arrest against BRYCE MOVILLA y

SINGALAOA conducted by NBI resulting in Armed Encounter

DATE : December 22, 2023

1. Reference: Sta. Cruz MPS PNP Blotter entry number 2023-12-2772 dated
December 22, 2023.

2. At about 2:20 PM of December 22, 2023, National Bureau of Investigation- Anti-

Organized and Transnational Crime Division, Counter Intelligence Division and Technical
Intelligence Division coordinated in this station to serve a warrant of arrest against BRYCE
MOVILLA y SINGALAOA (“MOVILLA”), male, 50 years old (March 6, 1973/Sta, Cruz, Zambales,
a resident of Angeles St., Poblacion South, Sta Cruz, Zambales by virtue of WOA issued by
Hon. IRENEO M LUSTRE, Presiding Judge, MTCC, Fourth Judicial Region, City of Santa Rosa,
Laguna with CC No. 18-081 for violation of ART 319, RPC (Removal, sale or pledge of
mortgaged property) with recommended fixed bail amounting to twenty four thousand pesos
(P24,000.00) that resulted to an armed encounter resulting to the death of the suspect.

3. Initial investigation disclosed that, abovementioned operating unit intercepted the

White Nissan Navara bearing PN DBH2023 driven by the subject. Hence, AOTCD-TID
operatives tailed the said vehicle. Meanwhile, a CID team positioned themselves along the
highway from the south side of Sta Cruz, Zambales, while another team of AOTCD agents were
on the north side, in order to cut the path of the subject’s vehicle. While in pursuit, NBI
operatives noticed that the subject sensed that he was being tailed upon. Operatives turned on
the blinkers and siren to declare their authority and with the intention of flagging down the
vehicle driven by said Subject, moved to the left and occupied the left lane of a narrow road
(similar to a counter flow). In an instant, Subject fired several shots of an unknown caliber upon
the apprehending team which prompted a return of fire. The vehicle of AOTCD agents were
riddled with bullet holes that forced the same to a ditch. After several minutes of said armed
encounter, the Subject was neutralized and killed by the apprehending NBI team during the
incident. In securing the crime scene, found in plain view inside his vehicle was .45 Caliber
engraving, “BRYCE”on the slide, holster, and empty shells of .45 cal.

4. Elements of Sta. Cruz MPS led by PCPT JESSU M. RENDON, DCOP,

responded and cordoned the crime scene. The Provincial Forensic Unit of Zambales was
requested to process the crime scene.

5. No casualties reported on the part of the operating personnel.
