The pomelo tree is commonly found everywhere in Asian countries. It is a
tree that bears a pomelo fruit, a pulp fruit that is usually pink in color. It is covered by
a thick pomelo peel that has an appearance of either pale green or yellow green. It
serves as a protection of the inside pulp from any oxidation, for instance, because it is
rich in antioxidants.
When eating pomelo, most of the time, the pomelo peel is only thrown away
and considered waste. Not knowing that this waste could be turned into something

the time the metals, such as the curtain holder, are rusting due to the exposure to
oxygen. Most of the cleaning agents and deodorizers that people are using today
contain harmful chemicals that could affect the welfare of humans, animals, and the
environment. To prevent this, the group comes up with the idea of proving the
effectiveness of pomelo peel for deodorizing and cleaning furnitures, as it does not

Pomelo is commonly found in every part of Asia, but it originates in Thailand.
It is known as a non-hybrid citrus fruit that produces many different products. Its tree
grows at approximately 16–50 feet tall. The characteristics of the pomelo peel are
either greenish-yellow or pale-yellow, while the inside color varies to either pink or
red. Its tastes vary from neither sour nor sweet to bland, and it has an aftertaste of a

The peel of the pomelo contains a higher amount of antioxidants than its

The general objective of this study is to prove the effectiveness of pomelo
peel for deodorizing and cleaning furnishings. Furthermore, the purpose of this is to

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
The results of this investigation will benefit both society and people. Cleaning
is essential to our lives because it helps us keep our surroundings clean and removes
germs and other toxins in a safe manner. This study employs pomelo peel as a
deodorizer and cleaning solution for furniture, reducing waste and making it into

The study will be conducted at Sual National High School, Poblacion Sual,
Pangasinan, where there is an abundance of pomelo. Only the peel of ripe pomelo will
be used in this study. This will make it easy for the researcher to get and provide the
materials needed. The experiment will be done in March and April 2023. This will
make sure that nobody gets hurt while the experiment is ongoing. The study will be
divided into a month of experimentation and observation. The finished product will be
observed and thoroughly analyzed after it has been processed and finished. This will

The present study aimed to determine the factors affecting the use of cleaning
products at the home environment and the frequency of problems. The pomelo fruit
has been linked to several purposes. It is rich in vitamin C and has been used in
indigenous medicine as a sedative for nervous affections and convulsive cough, and
as a treatment for hemorrhagic disease and epilepsy (Vijaylakshmi & Radha, 2015).
Executive Order 134 (Order) was issued on January 5, 2005 to reduce the

properties that minimize the potential impact on human health and the environment.

RECOMMENDATIONS
This chapter provides a summary of the whole study with an emphasis on its
key results, inferences drawn from the findings, and researcher suggestions.
According to the results of the Sniff test and the cleanliness test using white
gloves, T5 received the highest ratings out of the four other treatments used. based on
the rating that is as high as possible on the table. On the other hand, it can be inferred
from the results of the t-test between commercial goods and pomelo peel as a
deodorizer and cleaning agent that the latter received the highest rate of gain.
