Job Description – Trade Product Manager

Key result areas:


Drive Transaction banking digital businesses for bank’s domestic and overseas branches/subsidiaries.
Transaction banking business currently focuses on working capital related facilities for clients – mainly
letters of credit, guarantees, trade loans, remittances, etc.

Main activities would include analysis and review of market opportunities based on various interactions
with the client, relationship team, AM, with various Zones with primary focus on enhancing the digital
product features, Seamless onboarding, addressing tech issues of the client to enhance the digital
adoption.

This would require basic understanding of trade products, and working knowledge of technological
products, system development and testing needs.

Understanding of letters of credit, guarantees, cross border remittances is a key requirement

Key responsibilities include:


 Drive overall technology product adoption for commercial banking clients
 Develop business plans specific to technology products that will encompass market analysis, product
definition, competitive landscape and revenue strategy
 Co-ordinate with relationship teams domestic and at overseas locations to scope out opportunities,
identify and execute new areas of digital product requirements
 Create Business Requirement specifications (BRS) for taking up technology product development
efforts
 Coordinate with development teams within the Bank and also system vendors to ensure quick
development efforts
 Prepare comprehensive test cases and scenarios for testing the products developed
 Undertake User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for cases
 Prepare training material and ensure sales teams are made aware of new products
 Meet clients to enhance client on-boarding efforts
 Handle senior management presentations towards product specific strategy

Key skills
 Basic knowledge and awareness of trade finance products, UCP, ISP, ISBP, URR
 Working knowledge of technologies and messaging (XML/ JSON) protocols
 Demonstrate understanding of intersystem dependencies around primary and distributed applications
 Ability to drive problem solving and debugging for problems that involve multiple systems
 First-hand experience in writing test cases and executing these (manually or using automation tools)
 Experience with preparing end to end business requirement documentation (BRD/BRS)
 Working knowledge of sql and databases
 Good interpersonal skills - ability to coordinate as well as drive results telephonically across
geographies
 Adept at working with spreadsheets including data analysis
 Good presentation skills
 Basic market knowledge of key competition in the market and individual strengths in product
offerings across banks
 BE in Computer Science or IT will be highly valued
