14th Edition of the Indo-US Joint Special
Forces exercise “VAJRA PRAHAR 2023”
commenced at the Joint Training Node
in Umroi, Meghalaya.
The 4th edition of Bilateral Exercise
between Indian Navy and Bangladesh
Navy, BONGOSAGAR-23, and the 5th
edition of Coordinated Patrol (CORPAT)
by the two navies was conducted in the
Northern Bay of Bengal.

The 9th edition of Joint Military exercise “Exercise MITRA SHAKTI-


2023” commenced in Aundh (Pune).
The Indian Armed Forces contingent
comprising of 81 personnel departed for
Australia to take part in the second edition
of Joint Military Exercise AUSTRAHIND-
23. The exercise will be conducted at Perth,
Australia.

The Nepal Army contingent comprising of 334 personnel arrived in


India to participate in 17th edition of Joint Military Exercise SURYA

The crest of Yard 12706 (Imphal), the third

Shri Narendra Modi flew a sortie in the indigenously
designed, developed and manufactured Tejas Twin
Seat Light Combat Fighter aircraft at Bengaluru.

This is the first time an Indian Prime Minister has flown a fighter
aircraft sortie.
The Chanakya Defence Dialogue 2023, a two-day
groundbreaking event steered by the Indian Army
in collaboration with the Centre for Land Warfare
Studies (CLAWS), concluded with takeaways on

The United States military conducted a
Minuteman III missile launch, showcasing
its nuclear capability. The Minuteman III is
a vital component of the nation’s strategic
deterrent forces, managed by the Air Force
Global Strike Command.
The “interception capabilities” of the indigenous
long-range surface-to-air missile (LR-SAM)
system, being developed by DRDO under the
ambitious Project Kusha, will be “comparable” to
the formidable Russian S-400 Triumf air defence
system.

Eastern Air Command (EAC) of the Indian Air


Force conducted its annual Command level

India successfully test-fired its surface-to-surface


short-range ballistic missile (SRBM) 'Pralay' from

The Deep Ocean Mission (DOM) is India’s ambitious quest to

GOVERNMENT SCHEMES
The Indian Prime Minister has announced an
extension of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan
Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) for an additional five
years.
The program is operated by the Department
of Food and Public Distribution under the
Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and
Public Distribution.
