Subject: Building awareness for Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG)]
- 2023 Examination among aspiring candidates – reg.
The Common University Entrance Test (UG) – 2023 is scheduled to be held from 21 May 2023
across India for admissions in Central and participating universities to various courses /
programmes at undergraduate level. At present approximately 170 Universities / Institution /
Organization / Autonomous Colleges are participating in CUET (UG) - 2023.
The details of the programmes / courses offered by Central Universities (CUs) and other
participating Universities / Organizations are available on their respective websites as well as on
https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/
The CUET (UG) - 2023 will be conducted in 13 languages i.e. English, Hindi, Assamese,
Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and
Urdu.
For Papers, Scheme, Timing, eligibility and other information, is available in the Information
Bulletin of CUET (UG) – 2023 on the website: https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/.

Section 3 - / programmes being offered by 50 Questions to
General Test Universities wherea General Test is be attempted out 60 minutes
being used for admission. of 60
Note:
1. From the above subjects / languages, the candidate can choose maximum of 10 subjects from all
three Sections as given in Annexure 1.
2. Examination will be conducted on multiple days in three shifts, depending on the number of
Candidates and Subject choices.
Computer Science / There will be one Question Paper which will contain Two Sections and B2].
Informatics Practices (308)
Section A will have 15 questions covering both Computer Science /
Informatics Practices which will be compulsory for all.
Section B1 will have 35 questions from Computer Science out of which 25
questions need to be attempted.
Section B2 will have 35 questions purely from Informatics Practices out of
which 25 question will be attempted.
Mathematics / Applied There will be one Question Paper which will contain Two Sections i.e.
Mathematics (319) Section A and Section B [B1 and B2].
Section A will have 15 questions covering both i.e. Mathematics/Applied
Mathematics which will be compulsory for all candidates.
Section B1 will have 35 questions from Mathematics out of which 25
questions need to be attempted.
Section B2 will have 35 questions purely from Applied Mathematics out of
which 25 question will be attempted.
Performing Arts (320) This paper shall have two parts: Part I is compulsory for all which will have
20 Questions.
Part II shall have four sections- A, B, C, D. Each Section will have 25
Questions. Candidates are required to attempt any 20 Questions out of given
25.
Candidates are required to choose any one section according to their choice.
Important Instructions:
i. Candidates can apply for CUET (UG) - 2023 through the “Online” mode only on the
website https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/ The Application Form in any other mode will not be
accepted.
ii. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. In no circumstances, candidateswill
be allowed to fill more than one Application Form. Strict action will be taken, even at a
later stage, against such candidates who have filled more than one Application Form.

iii. Candidates must strictly follow the instructions given in the Information Bulletin and on the
website https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/ Candidates not complying with the instructions shall
be summarily disqualified.
iv. Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and Mobile Number provided in the
Online Application Form are their own or Parents/Guardians only as all information/
communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address or
SMS on the registered Mobile Number only.
The eligible candidates can visit the nearest Common Services Centers (CSC)
(https://www.csclocator.com/) for filling in the Application Form. Presently more than 05
lakhs Common Services Centers (CSC) are functional across the country. (A nominal
applicable fee will be charged by the CommonServices Centers for filling in the registration form
from the candidate).
The Public Notices issued on 02 March 2023 and 05 March 2023 regarding Help Centres for
Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG)] – 2023 established in various cities across
India is annexed.
The Participating Universities, Common Services Centers, Help Centres established by NTA
and City Coordinators associated with NTA are requested to build awareness about the CUET
(UG) 2023 examination among the aspiring candidates in their respective areas. Candidates be
made aware about the benefits of registering for the CUET (UG) Examination whichwill open up
large number of avenues for students to get enrolled in their desired courses through a single
examination in prestigious Universities/Institutions. It will provide a common platform for all
aspiring applicants through a single window.
The eligible applicants be made aware that the Help Centres established by NTA across the
country would be helping the candidates in filling the application form online with the help of
a dedicated technical person. This helpline service is absolutely free of cost for the
candidates. List of Help Centres is mentioned in the Annexure 2.
Further, the candidates be informed that in case any candidate faces difficulty in applying for
CUET (UG) – 2023, he/she may contact 011- 40759000 / 011 - 69227700 or e-mail at cuet-
ug@nta.ac.in.

In continuation to the Public Notice dated: 25 February 2023, the number of Help Centres for Common
University Entrance Test (UG) – 2023 has been increased. This has been done with a view to support the
students throughout the Country.
The key objective of opening Help Centre is to ensure that candidates who want to appear for CUET
(UG) – 2023 should be able to apply for the same without any difficulty and get the necessary guidance,
if required. The candidates need not go to any Cyber Cafe for filling their Application Form of CUET
(UG) – 2023. The details of increased Help Centres are given below:

At the outset, I would like to thank you for joining the Common University Entrance Test CUET
(UG) – 2023 to be conducted for admission to various undergraduate programmes.
This is with reference to the mapping of CUET (UG) - 2023 provided by you. Some of the very
urgent and emergent issues arising out of this may kindly be noted and addressed.
1. In order to ensure that more options are available to the applicants for choosing courses /
programmes of various newly added Universities / Institution / Autonomous Colleges /
Organizations from all over the Country, the last date of receiving online Application Forms
of CUET (UG) – 2023 up to 30 March 2023.
2. In this regard, you are requested to create awareness about CUET (UG) - 2023 through your
University and Colleges affiliated to the University. A draft Press Release (Annexure 1) is
being enclosed in this regard, which may be translated in your local languages as well.
3. Autonomous colleges affiliated to your University (if applicable) may need to be addressed
separately and advised that they contact the NTA directly with the mapping of their courses,
if these courses happen to be different from the University. E-mail IDs for this purpose are
cuetug@nta.ac.in and sp@nta.ac.in
4. As per the Public Notice enclosed, the NTA has established Help Centres in different cities
across the Country covering major States. These Centres may be approached by prospective
candidates for filling up the CUET (UG) - 2023 Application Form.
5. The eligible candidates can also visit the nearest Common Services Centers (CSC)
(https://www.csclocator.com/) for filling in the Application Form. Presently more than 05
