Ways forward in implementing the
deliverables for the current year and
onward
Municipal LGUs have the prime responsibility in planning and implementing the PMNP activities
with technical guidance from DOH, DSWD and NNC. The municipal governments are
expected to:
12.1 Develop and cost their respective multisectoral nutrition action plans, and set targets
to be achieved, integrate the same to the, AIP, CDP and LIPH;
12.2 Ensure that MNAP activities particularly those funded under PMNP are implemented
on time and in accordance with national policies/guidelines;
12.3 Utilize PBGs to plan and implement interventions to expand the coverage and quality of
MCHN services based on the approved LNAPs;
12.4 The Area Coordinating Team (ACT) has the primary responsibility for providing technical
assistance to community volunteers on financial management under Component 2, build and
strengthen the capabilities of community members, volunteers and LGU stakeholders, to
identify, design, select, and implement community sub-projects using the CDD strategy;
12.5 Provide local counterpart contribution earmarked for project’s multisectoral nutrition plans;
12.6 Enter into a tripartite memorandum of agreement (MOA) with DSWD and DOH which defines

12.7 Ensure that its identified barangay-beneficiaries properly implement project activities as part
of its oversight function over the barangays;
12.8 Report on the progress of the PMNP implementation in their respective localities.
