1 Introduction

1.1 Scope
This Operational Instruction describes the procedure to replace a Base Station
Controller (BSC) Network Interface Ethernet (NWI-E) in an operational BSC,
and configure the new BSC NWI-E.

Some steps in the procedure must be performed on-site.

This Operational Instruction may end with consulting next level of maintenance.

It is often possible to rebuild a configuration by analyzing the working BSC


NWI-E,, but that operation

default gateway 192.168.255.1.

17. Connect the serial console cable, TSR 491 616 or equivalent, between the
replacement

18. Connect the network cable, TSR 491 603 or equivalent, between the
replacement BSC NWI-E and the computer. Use the Ethernet management
port on the BSC NWI-E for the network cable.

19. Use the terminal emulation software to log on to the replacement BSC
NWI-E.

3.2 Configuration Script


The Python script
script BSC NWI-E Configuration File Compiler should be used as
follows:

Edit the parameter

Save the file with a new name after the parameters
