The bar chart illustrates the proportion of people in 4 distinctive age groups in terms of their usage

of cell phones in different circumstances.

Overall, out of four situations, a minority of people in all age groups used mobile phones in family
dinner. Additionally, 18 – 29 and 30 – 49 age brackets used cell phone more frequently than others in
different circumstances.

Most people aged 18 – 29 used their mobile phones when they travelled by public transport with
90% while 80% of citizens aged 30 – 49 used their device in the same situation. By contrast, the
proportion of middle-aged citizens using cell phone on the street was 5% higher compared to that of
the youth at nearly 85% and 80% respectively. In the restaurant, 80% people aged 30 - 49 used
electronic gadgets followed by above 70% for young citizens.

Regarding other two age groups, in three situations except for family dinner, the figure for citizens
age 50 – 64 using mobile phone tripled that of the elders. All four age categories used their cell
phone occasionally in family dinner with the proportion ranging more or less 10%.
