INTRODUCTION

A school is a generic term for any educational institution dedicated to teaching

moviemaking, including film production, theory, and writing for the screen.
Usually hands on technical training are incorporated as part of the curriculum,
such as learning how to use cameras, light meters and other equipment. Most
schools are tied to existing colleges and universities, often in art or
communication departments. Some are privately owned and not tied to
universities, such as technical schools offering associate degrees. Use of visual,
auditory and hands-on learning activities to support all learning styles. School by
itself acting as a teaching medium.

AIM OF THE PROJECT

The aim of the academy is to create a chance to study about cinema and the
technical part of the industry for kerala
peoples. There is only one film campus in kerala that is k.r.narayanan situated in
kottayam. So create a learning and skill transfer environment where mind
experiences, experiments and accesses unknown and untested frontier and
allowing new perspective to seen and which reaches out the world.

NEED OF INSTITUTION
There is no film campus in kerala that controlling under a university.
1Last academic year in pune film institute selected only 10 students in 1864
applications. There we have very limited seats.
2This is not about a batch, and about a course, like that lots of students are lost
their dream and disappointed because of the limited colleges and the seats.
3And the interesting thing is in a batch 25% of students are in kerala.
4 In that kerala we don’t have any colleges under a university.
5 Thinking on the practical level concluded it is the national need to improve our
film.
6 Production by developing and incorparating new ideas, techniques and
methods which will meet the present growing and changing needs of film to
international standard.
7 To make it possible we can think of two possible ways that either providing and
intoducing the new techniques in the film.
8 Industry its itself or having totally a new system of working which will provide
at in highest level a wide range of training and experience for prospective creative
generation in the Film industry.

PRESENT STATE
The present day scenario is totally different. The new age film institute’s are much
advanced than the past.
1 The students get the knowledge of handling much advanced equipments and
thus are more efficient than the past ones.
2 Also, because of the newer technological concepts like digital libraries, ect are
getting widely popular which has given a new dimension to learning process.
3 The information all around the world is reached through the web available to
students.
4 Also more emphasis is being given to landscape development around the
campus thus greatly helping the students to perform any practical which might
be included in their studies
5 The problem is the less number of film institute’s available in india and some
good film institutes which are properly planning to fit in the present requirement
as well as be adaptable to the futuristic requirements is the prime requirement.

FUTURE POSSIBILITIES
Film industry is a never changing industry. What was yesterday is an old fashion
today and what is today will become an old fashion tomorrow. But appears one has
to always look past to
produce better results when he handles the planning of these institutes. Also the
institute is to be adaptable to futuristic requiremets so that its use does not become
wasted when future technologies are introduced. The technologies has changed
very fast and now the past institute are finding hard to adapt the newer
equipements because the planning then did not considered the futuristic
development of the field.

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT

1The scope is limited for the study and analysis of the institution and spaces to be
designed for the institute.
2 The scope does not exceed to study the material and structural systems in
detail as these are the variable aspects in any designs.
