Meet Tonina. In just over two years
she’s come a long way as a McDonald’s
franchisee.
“I became a McDonald’s franchisee because
I saw what it could do for me. I saw the
opportunity in the investment, the on-going
support behind a brand that’s known the
world over, and the way they have a keen eye
for innovation. It gave me real confidence.
And I was right.
Now I’ve two restaurants here in Bromley
and my target is to have ten in the future.
Years ago as a student, I worked as a part-
time crew member and I think that gave
me the passion for the brand. I went on to

be part of a global IT company and then
ran my own business with my husband -
as well as having three daughters - but
McDonald’s was always where I wanted to
be professionally.
What excites me is that you benefit
from their knowledge and you have
the opportunity to innovate and build
on your local community relationships.
I recently had Crystal Palace Football
Club here, for example, to celebrate the
Grand Reopening of this restaurant after
its superb refurbishment. I’m proud of
that and of course, my crew. They are a
loyal, very close-knit team and almost
like family. I work hard to ensure that they
