My name is Te'Niqua Yvonne Canty. I was born in Houston, Texas on November 24, 1986
to Shanderia Hicks and George Jasper Jr. I am an only child.I grew up in the out
skirts of north Houston in a suburban area called Spring, Texas. I attended
Anderson Elementary, Dueitt Middle School and Spring High school. From age 5 to age
12 ,I was a Jazzer cheerleader for the little league Jaguar football team. At age
12 to age 17, I Ran summer track and field for the most elite summer program in the
region, The Texas Mustangs. In middle school, I was a cheerleader captain on the
competition squad and I played A-Team basketball as a shooting guard. I played
varsity basketball and ran varsity track all through high school. I was a member of
the student council committee . I acted as the community chair and event
coordinator. I was also a member and step master Delta Gamma chapter of
Mademoiselle. My Line name was BIG SIS LIL MIZ PRETTIE...I graduated in the top 25
Percent of my class. I then went on to attend Texas Southern University in 2005,
where I double majored in English and Education. I became a member of the Tigress
Sensation Power dance team. 2007 I joined the amazing Fraternal Brother and
sisterhood of The Order of The Eastern Star , Queens of Persia Chapter #19 Texas
Region October 31, 2007, where I soon became the Worthy Matron of a chapter of 16
women. Within the first year I was recommended by my Worthy Patron to attend Grand
session and obtain my higher houses. I was the youngest to do so in my Grand
Chapter region. I then joined the United States Army April 11, 2012 and was shipped
off to basic training September 4, 2012. My military occupational skill was 42
Alpha, Human Resource Specialist. My first duty assignment was overseas in Korea as
a executive administrative assistant to the Division Command Sergeant Major whom I
still look up to this day. From there, I was sent to Fort Gordon to be apart of the
signal family. November 4, 2016 I Medically Retired. Winter of 2015 I chose to look
into Kappa Epsilon Psi Military Sorority Inc. 2017 I went to Culinary School, where
I obtained my associates degree in culinary arts. 2021 I went to Paul Mitchell
School Houston where I completed my 1000 hours for Cosmetology and now I am
Currently enrolled at The Texas Southern University to obtain my bachelors in
Social work.
