THE DIGITAL REVOLUTION OF

VISUAL MEDIA
GROUP 1
THE RISE OF PHOTOGRAPHY
THE NINETEENTH CENTURY:
THE INVENTION OF PHOTOGRAPHY
Photography was established as a new visual representation
technology in 1839. Despite its widespread use, photographers have
spent decades experimenting with techniques and debating the
essence of photography. They argued on whether photography
should be considered an art or a science, what photos should
express, their function, and look. They also debated whether to use
aesthetics from other arts or to experiment with their own. They
became part scientist as they mastered new methods and
equipment, tackling aesthetic issues like as presenting multicolored
reality in monochrome. They examined conventional themes such as
portraits, landscapes, genre scenes, and still lives, as well as novel
camera techniques..
THE RISE OF DIGITAL ART
BRIEF HISTORY OF DIGITAL ARTS
Digital art is a growing phenomenon, with various types including fractal, data-
moshing, dynamic painting, 2D computer graphics, 3D computer graphics, and pixel
art. The most popular form is digital photography, which uses digital cameras to
capture detailed shots. Other popular digital art forms include photo-painting, digital
collage, 2D digital painting, 3D digital painting, manual vector drawing, integrated
art/mixed media and hybrid painting, raster painting, and computer-generated
painting. Famous digital artists include Alberto Seveso, Stephen Mcmennamy, Nik
Ainley, Jason Naylor, Sara Ludy, Irina French, David McLeod, Sean Charmatz, Aiste
Stancikaite, and Rachel Walpole. Critics argue that digital art reduces the role of
the artist, as technology handles the hard work. However, digital art is present in
various fields, such as museums, cinematography, animated films, fashion, graphic
design, and interior design. Digital art is an authentic art form, as it cannot be
formed without the idea and creativity of an artist. As technology evolves, more
digital art forms will be created, and more digital artists will be recognized as top
and valuable artists of the new generation. As digital art continues to grow, it is
expected to continue to evolve and become more popular in various fields..
THE RISE OF COMPUTER-
GENERATED IMAGERY (CGI)
BRIEF HISTORY OF TECHNOLOGY AND
CGI IN MOVIES AND ANIMATION
CGI has been utilized in films since the 1960s, with the first
appearance in the 1958 film Vertigo. Westworld was the first
feature picture to use computer-generated imagery (CGI).
Star Wars, Alien, and The Black Hole all utilised wire-frame
models. In the 1980s, pioneers of visual effects like as
Industrial Light & Might continued to push the envelope. CGI
technology was employed in revolutionary films like as
Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Jurassic Park, Toy Story, and
The Matrix in the 1990s. CGI is being used in movies like The
Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy for thousands of
shots, accounting for 90% of the film.

1950s and above, who often write letters and go to each other's houses to bond
or communicate. News or any information is now able to be disseminated
anywhere and anytime. Many rumors and issues are visible online; we seek truth
