contributing to their good nutrition and good performance in school.
The school-feeding program also promotes good health. It is also helpful in the child’s

The school-based reading program may boost the child’s academic achievement. The child
who eats well thinks well and does better in academics. The nutrients coming from healthy foods are
assisting in the child’s education.

One common problem in our community is food specially during the times of
disaster and calamities wherein prices of commodities are in surge. Almost every
Filipino are suffering from hunger and are starving to death, that affects our children
and their growth. The Department of Education is implementing feeding program in
the elementary level, but this was not sustained in high school. The data on
nutritional status reveal that malnutrition still exist in secondary level. Throughout the
years, DepEd aims to sustain the nutritional health of every student specially in
public schools.
Amidst the pandemic, Don Jose M. Ynares Sr. Memorial National High School
supports all the programs in line with the department positively challenging and
makes its mark in the improvement on the quality of students learning and developed
special concern program to at least reduce the cases. The school believes that
nutrition plays a significant role in bettering the health of students. School based
feeding program is one of the interventions that enhance students motivation and
capacity for learning, improving learning outcomes, reducing absenteeism and
ensuring that students are able to stay in school as enunciated in: ”Education for All”.

In effort to help the youth in disadvantaged situation, we must vigorously push

for more human resource development programs. The target beneficiaries are
students-at-risk of dropping out that are enrolled in SY 2020-2021 from grades 7-12.

better education, we made this project possible. The survey done by the National
