RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE GOVERNOR ESTEBAN

“NONOY” CONTRERAS, GOVERNOR PROVINCE OF CAPIZ TO ALLOCATE
FUNDS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT AND EXTENSION OF COVERED GYM
ROOFING, INSTALLATION OF HUNG BASKETBALL HOOP AND CONCRETING
OF BARANGAY BASKETBALL COURT.

WHEREAS, the barangay has an existing covered gym which has not been funded and
improved for years.
WHEREAS, the aforesaid infrastructure project is a priority thrust of the Barangay
Council that would benefit residents of the barangay as a whole because improvement and
extension of covered gym roofing, installation of hung basketball hoop and concreting of
basketball court will pave the way for the physical and sports development of the barangay.
WHEREAS, the barangay lacks sufficient funding to be able to implement the said
project;
WHEREAS, due to the said predicament it is imperative to seek financial assistance
from the local government unit, particularly to the office of the Governor Honorable Esteban
“Nonoy” Contreras, Governor Province of Capiz;
WHEREAS, this barangay had passed a resolution requesting financial assistance for the
improvement and extension of covered gym roofing, installation of hung basketball hoop and
concreting of basketball court to be used as evacuation center in case of natural calamity and
venue for an important gatherings or events beneficial to the general welfare of its inhabitants;
 WHEREAS, aware of the benefits that the above-mentioned project can offer to the
residents thereof, this Sangguniang Barangay members hereby endorse favorably the same for
approval.
RESOLVED THAT, during the meeting of the Sangguniang Barangay Members and
upon motion of Kagawad Samuel F. Pamplona and duly seconded by Kagawad Alfonso F.
Palonpon, it was.

Unanimously approved by the members of Sangguniang Barangay this 07th day of June
2021.
