GRAMMAR

I. Possessive adjectives (Tính từ sở hữu) & Possessive pronouns (Đại từ sở hữu)

Tính từ sở hữu Đại từ sở hữu

 Đứng ngay trước danh từ mà nó sở hữu  Dùng để chỉ sự sở hữu.

 Thể hiện tính chất sở hữu của người hoặc vật  Thay thế cho một cụm danh từ đã được nhắc
đối với danh từ đi sau nó. đến trước đó nhằm tránh lặp từ.
E.g: Her car is black and my car is white.

 This is my laptop.  This laptop is mine.

(Đây là máy tính của tôi.) (Máy tính này là của tôi.)

 This is her car.  This car is hers.

(Đây là chiếc xe của cô ấy) (Chiếc xe này là của cô ấy).

=> Đại từ sở hữu = Tính từ sở hữu + Danh từ

* Lưu ý:
- Tính từ sở hữu cũng để chỉ sự sở hữu, tuy nhiên, Tính từ sở hữu luôn được theo sau bởi danh từ
- Đại từ sở hữu thay thế cho hẳn cụm danh từ đó.
E.g: This is my bag. = This is mine.

(Tính từ sở hữu)
(Chủ ngữ) = tính từ sở hữu + danh từ
đứng trước danh từ không đi kèm với danh từ
