The teacher is reading a book.

Verbs in present participle. Verbs ending with -ee
For many verbs we make the ING form Just add -ING
by simply adding -ING to end of the verb. •agree - agreeing
•eat - eating Verbs ending with -e •flee - fleeing
•speak - speaking Drop the -e and add ING •see - seeing
•cook - cooking •hope - hoping
•start - starting •ride - riding Verbs ending with -ie
•do - doing •make - making Change the -ie to -y and add -ING
•stay - staying •write - writing •die - dying

Verbs ending with one vowel and one


For two syllable verbs
consonant (with the exception of w, x, and y) If the 2nd syllable is stressed ,
If the 1st syllable is stressed,
For one syllable verbs double the consonant and add ING
just add ING
