PREFACE

Such experience can be achieved obviously from the
practical work.

Now a days, all industries demand for people who able to


manage & develop the courses providing knowledge about
management B.B.A. is a theoretical as well as practical aspect.

I have preferred Sudama Dairy for the same. This visit


helps me a lot to expand my boundaries of thinking about the
implication of theoretical knowledge.

I have prepared the report based on what i saw, felt and


experienced during the visit in best best possibal manager.

Sudama Dairy was established in 22 March 2014 by The PORBANDAR
District co-operative Milk Producer’s Union Ltd. The union is the result of the
burning desire and endless efforts of the great visionaries like Mr. Bhartbhai Jivabhai
Odedra.

At present Mr. Bhartbhai Jivabhai Odedra is the chairman of Sudama


Dairy. The dairy was started with few employees. At present, the dairy has 200 plus
employees. It is producing milk and buttermilk products.

The Head Office and Plant of Sudama Dairy is Located at PORBANDAR. It


is a unique dairy in Kutiyana a very lovely greenish atmosphere in 20 acres. It has
an E.T.P facility.

Today Sudama Dairy producing Market milk, Butter milk, Curd and Ghee.

We believe in quality milk member union of Gujarat Co-operative Milk

In 2014 Gujarat Dairy Development Corporation (G.D.D.C) had established
Sudama Dairy, Which was running by the PORBANDAR Milk Union. By co-
operative members of the district sell their milk to the Union and after the processing
on milk they sold it under the name of Sudama Dairy.

The Union was also enabling to do anything for the crisis of Sudama Dairy.
When the Union is established in 2014 they take the responsibilities to solve the
problems of their co-operative members, but some how there are no action taken by
them or may be there are not proper response from the government to save Sudama
Dairy and help the small milk producers will.

Sudama Dairy is producing gall its products under the
brand name of Amul. As Sudama Dairy is best in quality. AMUL
asks them to produce for them. The main products are Sudama
Dairy are,

Sudama Dairy also provide a AMUL POWER DAN to


farmer from BMCS.

➢ Rawmilk is delivered to the dairy by tankers only.
➢ Dairy’s handaling capacity is 5LLPD. Influshseason
procurementisreaching upto 4LLPD.
➢ Tanker milk is received at RMRD dock. These tankers
arecoming from 09 chilling centers.

Note:- It is of extreme important that plant should not run dry at any stage during
the operation. Damage may be caused to the mechanical items such as pump seal, &
milk separator. Building up of the temperature may damage the plate rubber.
Burning of the milk solids, hence deposition of milk.
➢ Working principal of sensor in balance tank of milk
pasteurization,
Sensor works as per the resistivity of the cable. When milk touches the high
level control label, the resistivity of cable becomes infinite. So , it given signal to
controller cut off the supply of milk feed pump.
When milk goes down to the lower limit the resistivity of control cable
becomes zero, so it gives signal to the controller and the controller and the controller
given the control supply for starting for the pump.

is 1800-2000 Ltr. Ghee is Produced by pre-stratification method.

Butter milk is a fermented dairy product. Which contain beneficial type of
bacteria. In Sudama dairy two type of butter milk is produce that is Amul butter milk.

Finance is the life blood of any organization. Finance is most important for
any unit because without finance any unit because without finance any unit cannot
run. The finance manger is play most important role in the unit. Sudama milk
CO.OP. L.T.D. the finance manger plays most important role. The finance manager
the cash when it required in the business.
In the unit five person are appointed for this department. Two person are
appointed for cashier and three person are appointed for accounting department.

Finance planning is required for getting finance when require of it. Without
financial planning the unit cannot run continuously. Financial planning is necessary
for doing routing activity. Financial planning is classified in two parts:
1. Short term finance
2. Long term finance
1. Short Term Finance
In the unit short term finance is most important because in this unit product is
to sell early time to pay salary, product raw material, vehicles rent, electrical bill etc.
the short term finance is require.

2. Long Term Finance


In the unit long term finance is bless required for getting long term finance
this unit issue the share. This unit use the long term finance for purchasing
machinery, land vehicles etc…
In the unit financial planning is made very well. Through financial planning
the unit get easily in future.

“Financial leverage is phenomenal of using fund obtained at a fixed cost in the


hope of increasing the return to equity share holder”
Through financial leverage we can assume the return on equity share holder
fund, how many money is maintain. Also it is that type of expenditure which reduce
the tax liability of the company.

the use only ordinary capital and this unit has no any debenture for debt.

Recruitment is the process of attracting people to apply. The recruitment is a
different from selection which begins after recruitment has ended in recruitment
many people sent an application in any organization.

❖ Selection:
Selection is choosing a few from who applied. Selection is a process of
choosing the right person for right job.
In this unit selection process is done on the basis of candidate’s knowledge ,
skill and his experience.
This unit select only qualified person for right job. This unit select the person
as per ability and skill.

❖ Induction procedure:
Induction is welcoming process because the idea is to welcome a new comer
and make him feel at home and generate good feeling toward the job and make him
realized that his job is important.
In this unit induction procedure is done when new candidates is come into
firm.

Wages and salary is an important thing for both workers and unit. In any
organization the workers and officer are work for getting salary or wages from unit.
If any organization do not give proper and time to time salary to the workers
and officers they do not work efficiently.
In this unit the wages and salary is paid on monthly. In the end of month the
salary is paid by firm.
Hence in this unit all members do work do work efficiently. They get regular
salary in this unit.

right and responsibility.
Through job description the employee give important to because it helps to
keep away the special job from other jobs.

GRIVANCE HANDLING PROCEDURE is procedure for solve the problems


of workers. In any unit the workers do strike for some his problems, so the
management solve this problems. Hence it said good management of unit.

In Sudama Co. Op. Milk Pro. Uni. LTD the problems of workers are
quickly. This unit satisfy the workers needs like a bonus on festival, holiday etc…

FUTURE PLAN

Future plan means the plan or activity which will be providing by


company in new future. The future plan of Sudama co-operative
society are as follows.
• Development of milk system
• Development of waste water recycle system
• Development of production process
• Increases product quality and quantity

✓ The organization is wide spread. The milk is procured from the primary milk
collecting societies which in turn collects milk from small / marginal / landless
producers / farmers from various talukas and is sent to their nearest chilling
centers. PDCMPUL has 12+ chilling units at Porbandar, khambhodar, Pata,
Bhati, Sindhpur, Veraval, Varvada, Kutiyana, Dolasa, Jam Khambhaliya,
Talala, Simar etc…

✓ Accordingly, it covers the large geographical area which includes such talukas
& surrounding villages of such BMC units.

✓ Presently the organization is having about 1000+ primary milk collecting


societies which are supplying from all such geographical areas.

✓ Future plans are proposed for the expansion of the existing units and setting
up of processing plant thereby increasing the milk procurement, processing
capacity and to diversify the product range that can be produced from milk.

CONCLUSION
During my visit, I got very good experience and co-
operation with staff. I got the information about the industry is
from staff of industry. I am very thankful to them for help me in
my report.
I tried my level best to represent each segment of this unit
however there may be some mistake in my report. I hope you may
not consider it.
