NARRATIVE REPORT
on
MUNICIPAL SPORTS AND CULTURAL MEET 2024

Tonggo Integrated School joined the San Fernando Municipal Sports and Cultural
Meet 2024. The program started with the welcome message that was given by the active
and generous PSDS of San Fernando I, Dr. Joel B. Umbay which ignites the spirit of the
athletes and coaches. This was followed by the acknowledgement of the participants by
loudly yelling their team and school that they represented. Afterwards, the hoisting of the
school banner, the oath of sportsmanship and the oath of technical officials also followed.
The opening has brought so much excitement to the athletes and coaches. It can be
seen by the faces of the athletes that they are really excited to show their skills in playing
their sports. The opening ceremony really set the tone and spirit of the 3 days Municipal
sports and cultural meet activity.
The next day, the team managers, the coaches together with the athletes and
officiating officials went to their respective venues to conduct the different sports and
cultural events. All the games and cultural activities went well and fair. The winners
together with their coaches and trainers received medals for the efforts they have shown.
The winners received not only medals but also a thunderous applause and congratulatory
greetings coming from the crowd.
The Municipal Meet 2024 activity commenced by announcing of the over-all
champion and it was Sangat Central Elementary School for the elementary level and
Sangat National High School for the secondary level.
Not everyone got medals and certificates but one thing is for sure that they have
realized that game is not about defeat and victory, it is all about how you play the game - a
lesson learned to come back stronger equipped with sufficient skills and etiquette to win
the game for a second time around.
