JSBL Rules and Regulations

1. Each team shall consist of minimum of 10 and maximum of 15 players only

2. After submitting the Final line up on (September 25, 2022) adding or changing of players is no longer
allowed.

3. All Teams joined after their 2nd game must have a uniform (at least upper uniform). Strictly NO
borrowing and NO uniform No play policy.

4. The captain (CAP) is a player designated by his coach to represent his team on the

playing court. He may communicate in a courteous manner with the officials during

the game to obtain information.

*The captain shall, immediately at the end of the game, inform the referee if his team

is protesting against the result of the game and sign the scoresheet.

PLAYING REGULATIONS
Playing time, tied score and extra periods

1. The game shall consist of 4 periods of 10 minutes each.

2. The last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter stop clock rule will be applied. The rests are running time.

3. If a team does not start the game with 10 players their opponents shall automatically be awarded 2
points for each player below 10, i.e. 9 players, 2 points start for the opposition, 8 players, 4 points start
for the opposition.

4. First Five players will play the first 5 minutes of the 1st quarter then will be replaced by new Five
players on the remaining 5 minutes, same rules applied on the 2nd quarter

5. If team does not have 10 players, opposing team coach will select who will be left on the playing
court.

6. When the game starts, late players will only be allowed to play on the 2nd half of the game.

7. If the score is tied at the end of playing time for the fourth period, the game shall continue with as
many extra periods of 5 minutes as is necessary to break the tie. Last 2 minutes of the overtime is stop
clock while the 1st 3mins is running time.

8. 2 time outs for the 1st half (1st and 2nd quarter) and 3 time outs for the 2nd half. Carry over per half
only. All time out can also be used as live time outs
9. 15 minutes defaulting time is strictly followed, failure to complete the 5 players inside the court w/
proper attire shall be loss by FORFIETURE 0-20.

10. When the defaulting is started before the 5 players complete inside the court, penalized by 2 free-
throws as delaying of the game at the start of the regular jump ball.

11. When the game is stopped in any stage of 1st half, the game will resume as a regular start of the
game (back to zero). When the game is stopped in any stage of the 2nd half, the game will resume at the
same score and time left. Only players who are present during that game are allowed to play.

Protest
All protest by a Team shall be written at scoresheet including the complaint, and should signed by the
Captain ball/POC after the game. Submit the letter of protest w/in 24hrs. Failure to submit the said
protest w/in 24hrs will be disregard.

Technicalities/Infractions
A player who gets whistled for 2 technical fouls or 2 unsportsmanlike fouls will be thrown out and
immediately be suspended for 1 game regardless of how important the next game is.

Furthermore, a player may be thrown out of the game immediately if the referees decides that the
technical foul or the unsportsmanlike foul is too severe. Players who were ejected during the game will
be suspended the following game and will pay the fine worth P200.

Players who are called for TF/UF (except delay of game) would sit for the bench for 3 minutes. Failure to
follow this would give the officials the right to thrown out the player. Ejected and suspended are
prohibited to stay w/in the premises of the basketball court.

TF/UF will be count: Except for the delay of game (defending the gravity of offense)

1st - Warning served w/ a letter to his offense

2nd – Php100 fine

3rd – 1 game suspension plus Php200 fine

4th – 2 game suspension plus Php200 fine

5th – Player disqualification from the whole Season

The JSBL commissioner plus the board of members (captain ball) will be in charge to decide on issues
regarding the league and has authority to make necessary changes during the course of the tournament
if it will be for the good of the league.
General Rules

1. Playing fee or quota shall be collected during opening or 1st game or prior to the 2nd game. Each
team will pay Php4500 for the quota.
2. Any Teams who will not show on their scheduled games will pay the court sharing fee of
Php1600
3. 2nd default will be an automatic elimination in the tournament.

Tournament Format
1. 6 Teams registered
2. Each Team will have a 10 games in the Elimination round
3. Schedule of each games will be based online
4. NO will be eliminated after the elimination round
5. Schedule of games is every Sunday only from 8:00am to 1pm at Gloria 2 Subdivision Basketball
Court.
6. In case of a tie in standings, win over the other will follow, if 3 or more, will follow the FIBA rules
w/c is quotient system.
7. Top 1 & 2 advances to Semifinal Round.
8. 3vs6, 4vs5 in Knock out Quarter Final Round, Winner advances to Semifinal
9. Semifinal is a Best of 3 Series where Top Seed faces Lowest Seed Team.
10. Championship is also a Best of 3 Series

Rewards
1. Champion Team will get a Php 6000 cash, Trophy and Individual
Champion Medal.
2. Runner Up will get Php 4000 cash and Trophy.
3. 3rd Placer will get Php 2000 cash and Trophy
4. Medals for the Mythical 5
5. Trophy/Plaque for the season’s MVP
*** Each team will have a waiver and should be submitted prior to their 1 st
game. Each player should sign the waiver. Any players whose signature is not
visible in the waiver form will not allowed to play.
