Answer1: Trade and Industry was mainly in the control of non-
Muslims and it was with their migration to India after the
partition which shifted majority of the industrial units to India.

Answer2: The first five year plan was established in May 1956
and was followed by seven developmental plans in different
times.

percent.

Answer: The nationalization of industry came in the 1970’s in
order to achieve equitable development. The nationalization of

compromised.

Answer: Despite tall claims that Pakistan is a mineral rich
country our extraction is on the lower side. The lack of initiative

Answer: Coal was extracted for the first time in the year 1897 at

fulfilled by imports. Deposits of coal can be found at
1) Sindh: Lakhra, Sonda, Thatta, Haji Coal

Answer: When was Khewra Mine developed and what is its
capacity?
Answer: The khewra Mine was developed during British rule in
the year 1872 with a gigantic capacity of 350000 tons of salt
production per annum.

Answer: There are basically two types of gypsum with pink and
white colors. They are found in Mianwali, Jhelum, Dera Ghazi
Khan, Quetta, Sibi and Kohat areas.

Answer: Waterlogging: Water level Rises and come very close
to the surface of the earth this condition is called waterlogging.
It endangers the agricultural productivity
Salinity: Underground salts dissolve in this water and
come to the surface of the earth. Water evaporates due to the
heat of the sun and leaves those salts on the surface. The
situation is called salinity and it also got heavy negative impacts
on the land productivity.
