Expert sharpening, on a wide range of household, industrial, and farm tools, is easy
with the N{odel 314 Foley Grinder. This one machine grinds, sands, sharpens, buffs,
polishes . . . has dozens of every-day shop uses. High speed motor, 3450 RPM, is full
1A HP and has lifetime lubricated ball bearings.
Sturdy construction holds the work securely there is no wobble or vibration to inter-
fere with grinding accuracy. Abrasive wheels- run smooth and true on the ball bearing
motor shaft.
As pictured on opposite page, the basic machine for bench mounting comes fully
equipped for all phases of circular saw maintenance. It accommodates crosscut, com-
bination, and rip saws 5" lo 44" in diameter. Standard equipment includes high speed
builrin electric motor with cord, plug and switch; one emery wheel 7" x '/16" x rh"
for saw grinding; complete saw holding assembly, adjustable for bevel grinding from
0'to 45"; wheel guards; adjustable tool rest for right-hand emery wheel, to provide
correct support angle for knives, shears, and other edged tools; one emery wheel
6" x /2" x /2" for general sharpening.

The Model 359, pictured at right, is the fastest and
most convenient circular saw setter in the Foley line.
Setting hammer raises and trips automatically as han-
dle lever is operated, while saw is rotated manually to
bring next tooth into position. Every tooth is struck
with equal force, to assure that each one is set exactly
the same amount. Simple adjustments permit varying
the hammer blow force, from light to exceptionally
heavy, as needed for gauge of saw being set. Reversi-
ble, double-ended hammer fits all tooth sizes. Teeth
are set against a beveled solid anvil, which supports
blade firmly and controls amount of set. Hammer and
anvil are tough hardened steel for long service before
requiring replacement.
Matched hammer-anvil design, with automatic trip
action of hammer, insures identical amount of set on
all teeth to make saws cut smooth and true.
