Expression of Interest for Supervision Consultancy Services

(1) The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on its behalf & on behalf of its
Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) intends to shortlist the consultants for construction
supervision from reputed International/Domestic consulting firms/Joint Venture (the
payment would be made in Indian Rupees only) who have proven experience of
construction supervision, for the following projects:-

 * The project may be executed in more than one packages for which same or
different consultants may be appointed as decided by NHAI.

The work consists of supervising all construction works as ‘Engineer’. The

consultant will administer the construction contracts and ensure that the contractual
clauses for both quality and quantity of work are respected and the works are executed in
accordance with the provision of construction contracts. The consultant will be required
to nominate an Engineer’s Representative, who will be full time resident in the area.
It is proposed to invite the Technical and Financial Proposal from the short-listed
consultants only. More than one consultancy contract will not be awarded to one
consultant. (Either as sole or JV partner)

(2) The firm(s) who are interested may obtain the Letter of Invitation for submission
of Expression of Interest from the address given below from 01.03.2003 onwards on any
working day between 1000 hrs. and 1700 hrs. The Letter of Invitation can also be
downloaded from NHAI Website:http://www.nhai.org.

(3) The last date of submission of Expression of Interest at the address for
communication given below is 28.03.2003 at1500 hrs.
