section 16161-1: 2.02 “not less than 20mm in diameter, 3m long and the thickness
of the copper sheath shall be approximately 10% of the overall rod diameter.

1 Polymer inspection pit to be used in landscape and concrete inspection
pit to be used in walkways.
2 UV certificate to be submitted for the polymer inspection pit and all the
plastic component which will be installed under direct sun.
3 Soil resistivity report to be submitted by the supplier for the sit which the
products will supplied.
4 Calculation of Earthing & lightning protection to be provided.
5 Apply for inspection by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL) to obtain UL
Master Label Certificate.
6 Verify that lightning protection surge arrestor devices are installed on all
incoming power and communications lines, in order to obtain UL Master label
Certificate.
7 Furnish Owner with UL Master Label Certificate upon completion of
installation providing proof that the lightning protection system is in compliance
with UL 96 and UL 96A standards.
8 Bi metallic connectors to be used where dissimilar metals come in
contact with each other
9 All welded joints shall be checked and inspection by consultant before
being covered.
10 Surge protection devices (SPD) material submittal to be used.
11 An acceptable grounding resistance shall not be more than 0.5-ohm
computer equipment and 5 ohms for general building grounding.
12 Shop drawings will be stamped by Earthing and Lightning Protection
Specialist (E&LP).
13 Risk assessment calculation – To verify the Level of Lightning protection
as per BSEN62305.
14 Earthing calculations and wire size as per BS7430.
15 Inspection Test Plan (ITP) & method of statement shows method of
installation for all components.
16 Follow approved QA\QC procedures before start any work.
17 The supply and Installation must be according to Specification of the
project, BS7430. BSEN62305.Drawings, B.O.Q, and international code.
18 Original certificates, warranty and testing certificates of selected item are
required with material delivery.
19 Supply & Installation must be complied with project specification,
international standard codes, approved shop drawings, BOQ, and health care
facilities Requirement.
20 solid copper rood to be used in this project.
21 Any missing work or any changes apart from tender BOQ & Specs. Health care
facilities Requirement Will be the responsibility of contractor and to be added
