1. “PROMOTION OF AGRICULTURAL MECHANIZATION FOR IN-SITU

MANAGEMENT OF CROP RESIDUE IN THE STATES OF PUNJAB,
HARYANA, UTTAR PRADESH AND NCT OF DELHI”

This scheme is 100% sponsored by Govt of India. Till date a total of 72777 in
situ management machines has been provided to the farmers at 50% to 80% subsidy.
Out of these 31446 machines in 6775 custom hiring center have been established on
80% subsidy ensuring availability of these machines to small and marginal farmers.
Farmers are awared with the help of village level, block level camp, social media,
motto writing competition, community level pledge programme, puppet show,
Soochna rath. Farmers are trained for crop residue management and operation and
maintenance of agricultural machines along with providing demonstration of
agriculture machines at Farmers field. Farmers are awared for crop residue
management and not burning of crop residue by erecting hoardings/ banners in
prominent places. Detail of the machines provided during the last three years is as

As a result of the coordinated efforts made by State Govt, there has been reduction
in incidents of stubble burning, the details are as under: -

2. SUB-MISSION ON AGRICULTURAL MECHANIZATION

For promotion of agricultural mechanization Govt of India is implementing a
scheme namely SUB-MISSION ON AGRICULTURAL MECHANIZATION
(SMAM). This scheme is Centrally sponsored scheme in the ratio of 60:40 i.e.
60% funds are provided by Govt of India and 40% is borne by State. Under the
scheme there is a provision of 40-50% subsidy on purchase of latest/advanced
agriculture machines by individual beneficiaries. In addition to this, there is

 provision of providing 40% subsidy for establishment of High-tech center and
80% subsidy on village level machinery bank. The proposal amounting to Rs.
195.40cr has already been submitted to Govt of India for its approval and release
of funds during the year 2021-22. On receipt of approval scheme will be
implemented accordingly.

3. State Plan Scheme for Management of Crop Residue

Under the scheme there is provision of providing incentive Rs. @1000/acre for
management of crop residue by making bales. Subsidy claim amounting to Rs.
25.41 cr has been received in the State during the year 2021-22 for incentive on
paddy straw by product for management of crop residue.

4. Installation of Tube well

Tube well is assured source of irrigation, considering the importance of this, free
of cost consultation services provided to the farmers for installation. It includes
help in installing new tube wells and development of existing tube well for
increasing discharge of water. This work is performed with the help of
Department owned machines at nominal rates.
5. Leveling farmers field by using Laser Land leveller
State of Haryana is one of the leading States in the country, which is encourages
leveling the fields by latest technology. Under this programme, Departmental
owned machines (laser land leveler) is provided to the farmer at reasonable rates.
By using this machine, upto 30% of irrigation water is saved and yield is also
increasing.

6. New National Biogas Organic Manure Programme (NNBOMP)

In the State biogas plants are installed under the New National biogas Organic
Manure Programme (NNBOMP) scheme. Under the scheme Govt of India is
providing funds for providing subsidy on installation of biogas plants, providing
trainings in creating awareness.
