Dear Parents/Guardians,

RE: GEOGRAPHY FIELDWORK TO NGONG HILLS

We write to inform you that we intend to take our Year 9 and 10 Geography
students to an investigation activity on Energy, to Ngong Hills on Saturday 11th
June, 2022.

The main objective of this trip is to equip our students with the necessary skills on
wind energy as a growing source of clean energy. This trip will supplement what
the students have learnt in class about wind energy; that is, generation, conditions
favouring harnessing of wind energy as well as methods of production.

This is an important activity for our Geography students as it helps them gain skills
necessary in answering paper 1 IGCSE Geography exam. Students will be
expected in school by 8:00 am and will be picked in school at 3:30 pm.

Students will be required to prepare with the following:

• Appropriate outdoor excursion home clothes
• Comfortable hiking shoes (used trainers are recommended)
• Water bottle (an easily portable one)
• Clipboard and pencil/pen
