DETERMINATION OF METALS IN FOOD AND OTHER SAMPLES BY


INDUCTIVE COUPLED PLASMA OPTICAL EMISSION SPECTROSCOPY ( ICP-
OES )
Standard preparation:-
Prepare all serial dilutions of metal from 1000 ppm NIST Traceable metal stock
solution. For Ag conc. Above 2 ppm, use more than 10 ml 50 % HCL Per 100
ml.
Store diluted standard solution in acid cleaned fluorocarbon or pp bottles.
Quality control standard: prepare from reference sources with analyte conc.
Near 10 x instruments detection limit,2 ml 50 % HNO3,10 ML HCL, and water
to 100ml.
Mixed multi element standard preparation from intermediate std.
