UNIT SUMMARY
In this unit students will learn how to create sentences using verb with the help of group activities. Students
in this generation are more active in performance learning. The teacher will show pictures and flash cards to
present what is verb and how to construct sentences using verbs. Students will be evaluated based on their
learning interaction and performance.

ASSESSMENT SUMMARY

Assessment will be conducted by a group participation and individual tasks. The production of the task

given will be assessed by other teachers excluding the quizzes and oral recitations.

PREREQUISITE SKILLS / PRIOR KNOWLEDGE

- In everyday life of students they will know that they are using verbs related to their actions.

- The teacher should confirm that the students know how to construct sentences using verbs.

INSTRUCTIONAL PROCEDURES / TEACHING – LEARNING ACTIVITIES


Day 1:
1) Start with an opening prayer.
2) Ask the students of any idea regarding verbs.
3) Prepare and discuss the topic using Visual Aids.
a. Ask the students what they understand on the discussion.
b. Let students create five (5) sentences using verb.
c. Support and correct the students’ answers.
d. Discuss why is verb important in day to days life.
4) Provide another activity using Flash Cards with verbs written on it.
a. Students will use the Flash Cards to fill in the blanks on the sentences provided by the teacher.

Day 2:
1) Start with an opening prayer.
2) Introduce the game “Portray Me”
a. Divide the class into three (3) and let the students brainstorm of actions they will need on
portraying.
b. Instruct the students how the game process and how they will be scored.
c. End game announce the winner of the most / best portray 6 minutes before the time.
