The Inevitability of Death

Death is a natural part of life, yet it is rarely discussed until it affects someone we love. It is the
permanent end of all vital functions, often preceded by erratic breathing and a pale, gray-blue coloring
of the skin. Despite the finality associated with death, many people report feeling a sense of peace and
readiness when it approaches. Some even claim to have near-death experiences, where they are
medically dead for a period of time before returning to life with stories of out-of-body experiences. The
nature of death and these experiences remains a mystery, leaving much to be explored and understood.
Hello, my name is Qwyncy Lacsina and I'll be discussing; the inevitability of death.
All my life I've always been fascinated by the question; what happens after death? Even more,
was I fascinated by the sentence; We live to choose how we die. At some point, we can say that everyone
has lost a loved one. People often avoid talking about death until it's unavoidable It's important to
acknowledge and discuss death while we can. What happens when we die? All vital functions of the
body stop permanently. This includes the heart stops beating, breathing ceasing, and brain activity
stopping. The body experiences circulation changes and skin color changes. When a person feels that
they are near the end, they've said the feeling of readiness, while also having the same sensation while
being in a womb.
Thousands of reports regarding out-of-body experiences have been reported. A report has been
made on how he left his body for 3 whole minutes watching them as they were operating on him. It
makes us think about if we have a soul. Do we consist of more than just cells that build up and our
brains giving us commands of doing activities? Do we consist of more than what science can explain?
The statement; life flashes before your eyes. Life just doesn't flash memories that you cherish
the most, like the day you finally receive a diploma, the day you get married, or the birth of your first
child, none of those. Life flashes random memories, as you're walking up the stairs seeing a white cat.
Though you don't remember owning a white cat or remember living in that place you're going up to. The
man who holds these memories was able to create a layout of what the building looked like and explain
what the cat looked like to his mother. Turns out it was the neighbor's cat that he was looking at. Now
that's not a crazy story but thinking that that was the apartment they moved out of when he was only 14
months old begs the question where do these forgotten memories go? Are they still there? When we die
do we see our forgotten memories during our time? Is only what is gone only temporary?
One of the most feared reasons for death is loneliness or desolation. We come to this world
alone, but do we leave alone? These experiences challenge the idea that consciousness is solely a
product of the brain and suggest that there may be a non-physical aspect to human consciousness. The
concept of the soul is one that science has not been able to fully explain. The finality of death is the
scariest attribute. Waking up one morning and realizing that everything you've experienced, shared, and
loved, they're all gone forever. The fact that the memories we once held will only be forgotten memories
we cannot recreate, new memories we cannot form. These experiences give us a new perspective on life,
it reaffirms the reality of the brevity of life, and experience all that we can experience while we still have
the time on earth. In the end, we are well equipped to help people who are going through the same thing
because people are well with comforting others who have the same experience. Seeing someone stand
again after going to their loss, gives you the hope that maybe, just maybe you'll also be able to pull
through. You may say, the earth will end anyway, the sun will explode one day leaving the solar system
into worthless particles. But being a part of those particles gives us worth. Talk about a life worth living,
a life worth breathing, a life that is well spent. Talk about death. The earth will keep spinning, and the
birds will keep chirping, but eventually, everything has an end.
