And read the Honours part from page no 36

College has decided that enrollment and registration for examination at least one course (preferably SOFT SKILL) is
mandatory in 1st semester.

Procedure to Enroll NPTEL Courses

1. Google “nptel online” OR directly visit: https://onlinecourses.nptel.ac.in/
2. Search “soft” / “ethics” / “programming python” / “programming R”
3. Choose any one/two from (i) Soft skills by Prof. Binod Mishra AND/OR (ii) Ethics in Engineering Practice by Prof.
Susmita Mukhopadhayay [it’s 8 weeks course, so credits is 3] AND/OR (iii) Programming, data structures and
algorithms using Python by Prof. Madhavan Mukund [it’s 8 weeks course, so credits is 3] AND/OR (iv) The Joy of
Computing using Python by Prof. Sudarshan Iyengar AND/OR (v) Introduction to R Software by Dr. Shalabh [it’s
8 weeks course, so credits is 3]
4. Check whether it is a 12 weeks course or not [12 weeks means 4 credits]
5. Click on desired course, all details will be available about that course.
6. Click “Join” at the bottom [need a Gmail account]
7. During Registration:
(i) Motivation to Join Course = Mandated by college
(ii) Will you write the exam for this course? = Yes
(iii) Highest Qualification = High School
(iv) Year of Graduation = 2022 N
(v) Are you a part of an NPTEL local chapter? = Yes
(vi) College Name = NETAJI SUBHASH ENGINEERING COLLGE, KOLKATA
(vii) College Roll No = Student ID [only for 1st Sem]
(viii) Study Year = 1st Year.
