Dear editor,
The article I read is “why I should put dirty socks in my kids lunch bag” by rachel cameron in the
newspaper article called Today parent published on November,9,2021. I am writing this letter
because the article that i read is very interesting because it can teach the kids/children if they
are bad we can punished them by putting socks in the lunch box and if they don’t throw there
socks anymore we can put snacks in it again until they finish by learning their lessons but i
really like the article a lot and it is a great lesson. My first point in the article that i am responding
to is that i agree with the mom because for example when i come home from school i throw my
socks everywhere on the ground and then i’m too lazy to clean it up and then it makes the
house dirty which my parents don’t like when i throw stuff everywhere but they don’t yell me or
give me a punishment like when i throw one pair of socks i cannot find the other socks because
i lose/them somewhere in the house not like what the boys mom did in the article. The main
message would be not to throw your socks everywhere and listen to your parents, if not they will
give you either a bad or good punishment which is good for kids to learn when they are younger
until they get older. My second point that i agree with which will be a good lesson for
kids/children would be putting the kids socks in the lunch box and then taking away their favorite
snack until they finally learn their lesson for example if my parents took away my favorite snacks
i would cry and make a tantrum about it because it is my favorite like the fruit snacks candy
which is so yummy and delicious and i can get in trouble for it for how long as it can get and
until i learn my lesson they take away my favorite snacks but then my friends made fun of me
because my mom replace it with socks now i’m sad because my friends are making fun of me
next time i won’t throw my socks around the house or get my favorite snacks taken away. My
last point would be not to throw socks everywhere around the house because it will get dirty and
wet and we will have nowhere to dry it for example if it snows outside your socks will get wet
and smelled so bad but I recommend washing it so it can be clean.
