 How to Conjugate Verbs into Te-form

Ru-Verb (Ichidan/ Group II)

Simply change the verb ending る to て
ex.たべる ⇨ たべて (to eat)
おきる ⇨ おきて (to wake up)

U-Verb (Godan/ Group I)

Te-form conjugation differs depending on what sound the verb ends with.
Refer to the te-form song to memorize the rules.
ex.かう ⇨ かって う ( ending changes to って
) (to buy)
Exception
いく ends with く but does not follow the rule.
いく is an exception and the te-form becomes いって
Irregular Verbs (Group III)
There are only 2 irregular verbs: くる and する, and other verbs that end with them.
くる ⇨ きて (to come)
する ⇨ して (to do)
