1. Write the following statements in the form of equations:

Long Answer Type Question

1. There are two types of boxes containing mangoes. Each box of the larger type contains 4 more
mangoes than the number of mangoes contained in 8 boxes of the smaller type. Each larger box
contains 100 mangoes. Find the number of mangoes contained in the smaller box?

2. Maya, Madhura and Mohsina are friends studying in the same class. In a class test in geography,
Maya got 16 out of 25. Madhura got 20 out of 25. Their average score was 19. How much did
Mohsina score?

3. The length of a rectangular plot exceeds its breadth by 5 m. If the perimeter of the plot is 142m, find
the dimensions of the plot.

4. A father is 30 years older than his son. In 12 years, the man will be three times as old as his son. Find

8. Subham and Ansh donate some money in PM relief fund. The amount paid by Ansh is Rs. 125 more
than that of Subham. If the total amount paid by them is Rs. 975. Find the amount of money donated
by Subham.

9. A man travelled two-fifth of his journey by train, one-third by bus, one-fourth by car and the remaining
3 km on foot. What is the length of his total journey?

10. In a certain examination, a total of 3768 students secured first division in the years 2018 and 2019. The
number of first division in 2019 exceeded those in 2018 by 34. How many students got first division in
2018?
