TOPIC 4: LEGIT LOVE

OBJECTIVES:
a. To define what’s legit Love for God, Love for others and Purpose-Driven as a
YTR Member; and
b. To break the misconception about the Godly aspect of a YTR Member.

ACTIVITY:
- Attendance check for the current members of the life group. Sino ang
nakakumpleto ng series?
- We are on the last installment of our Legit Series. A Legit YTR doesn’t miss any
life group topics. Taas kamay sa last installment na lang, na-catch na niya at
perfect attendance pa!

INTRODUCTION:
- *Greetings!*
- *Short recap about the previous topics for the series, Legit YTR!*
- Again, sa series na ito ay iisa isahin natin ang ating core values.

THE CORE VALUES OF A LEGIT YTR MEMBER:

● Integrity
● Patriotism
● Teamwork
● Love For God
● Love For Others
● Purpose – Driven

- We are now on the last Installment of our series, at di ka pwedeng maging Legit
na YRocker if di mo ito mauukit sa puso mo, or mailalagay sa DNA mo.
- As Legit YRockers, we are not only expected to be Excellent and Patriotic, but
also to be Godly.
- Kaya naman, we will discuss the Concept of Loving God, Loving His
Creation, and Living in His Purpose.
BODY:
- Youth on the Rock is a group of people that reaches out to Youth in different
parts of the Country. We aim to lead the young generation and the next into a
Nationwide Transformation of Excellence, Patriotism, and Godliness.
- For 26 years, every YRockers were driven by the Organization's Vision and
Mission.
- And as tackled, sa mga past topics natin, every YRocker that practices
Excellence, Integrity, Patriotism, and teamwork, are now making an impact to
their respective jobs and career.
- But have you ever wonder, why these people stay, commit, and still full of
excitement to lead people kahit pa nakakapagod at di convenient ang ginagawa
nila lalo na kung ang target products ay mga tao din, which I could say isa sa
pinakamahirap na trabaho.
- It is because they are Purpose Driven, and because of their Love to the given
task and to the task-giver.

- Everything in these world has a purpose, yung ballpen mo panulat, yung table
para makainan o mapagsulatan, yung bag para paglagyan ng mga gamit, ang
school para may lugar sa pag aaral, ang government para maggawa at
magpatupad ng batas, and YTR to Change the Nation by changing a Generation
and etc.
- Lahat ng bagay may Specific at should be their legit purpose para mag function
ng well ito.
- Ang Cellphone ang legit nyang purpose is to make communication, but if use just
use it for gaming, edi sana bumili ka na lang ng PSP or gaming box.
- Dahil nawawalan ng sense of Purpose ang isang bagay, pag ‘di ito ginagamit sa
original o legit reason bakit ito nag eexist.
- And many of the youth or mga tao ngayon, because they lack the sense of
purpose, end up wrecking their lives or worse, ending it.
- Ano nga ba naman gagawin mo sa isang bagay na walang purpose diba?
Marami tatapon na lang.
- Ang tanong ko para sa inyo? Do you know what your purpose is? And kung alam
mo o you claim na alam mo, gaano ka kasure na yan ang LEGIT na PURPOSE
mo?
Why is being PURPOSE- DRIVEN important?

1. It makes you LEGIT

- Knowing your purpose will lead you to know your true identity, talents, gifts, and
potential. Knowing these means maximizing it!
- Hindi mo need gumaya sa iba, pwede kang mainspire, pero you can create an
Impact with your own uniqueness. Legitimacy brings impact!
- Hindi mo kailangan magpanggap. Be true to your well-planned design and
Identity. You are fearfully and wonderfully created, ‘wag mong sayangin sa
maling purpose.
- The sad reality is this, paano ka magiging legit kung hindi ka naman nag-allot ng
oras mo to find and have a sense of purpose?

2. It makes you ORGANIZED

- Knowing your purpose will lead you to actions that will help you succeed.
- Pero bago yung success part, dapat alam mo muna para makarating doon.
That’s where organization comes in! Dapat organized!
- Just like every gadget or appliance, may manuals be followed? Para magkaroon
ng maayos na paggamit at ma-fully maximize ang potential nito. The same
principle applies with your purpose!
- Knowing your purpose gives you a clearer course of actions to fulfill it. Hindi hula.
Hindi tsamba! Hindi pabasta na!

3. It makes you VALUABLE

- When you know your purpose, you will realize how important you are, and you
will not waste it.
- In reality, ang isang bagay na hindi lang naman iniingatan ay isang bagay na
hindi mahalaga sayo.Kaya mong hindi magkaroon ng pakialam sa mga wala
namang importansya sa yo.
- But, your purpose will make this principle of yours to turn upside down.
- If you know your value you will cherish it, aalagaan mo ang sarili mo ang
resources na meron ka at hindi mo ito gagamitin sa maling paraan.
- Kaya nakukuha mo na ba why a YTR member is so committed to its task and
task-Giver, as well as in continuous support groups and mentoring sessions?
- Yes! it’s because they understood it’s part of their purpose and it has a purpose!
Therefore, it’s valuable!

4. It makes you EMPOWERED

- Knowing your true self and your true source of your value will make you truly
empowered.
 - In this world full of different standards and challenges, your purpose will always
save you from a life that will always lead to a dead end.
- Having a deep sense of purpose brings you much courage and passion. Kaya
nga hinahangaan mo ang mga taong hindi matinag di’ba? They are just too
empowered, parang hindi mo mapapa-bagsak.
- Hindi lang ito skill-based or dahil confident or extrovert lang, but it is more of
within. They know in their heart para dito sila.
- So, bakit mo isusuko,ikakahiya at katamaran ang isang gawain na alam mong
para dito ka? Ganyan mag-isip ang isang purpose-driven na YTR member!

Why is being PURPOSE- DRIVEN important?

- L.O.V.E
- It makes us LEGIT. ORGANIZED.VALUABLE. EMPOWERED.
- We can infer that being purpose-driven is rooted in the word LOVE. That’s why in
YTR we highly value that a purpose-driven individual is an individual who also
LOVES GOD and LOVES OTHERS as well.

Matthew 22:35-39
35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question:36 “Teacher, which is
the greatest commandment in the Law?”37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with
all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’38 This is the first and
greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

LOVE FOR GOD (Godly) DOESN’T MEAN:

1. Being RELIGIOUS
- True love for God will always lead to action that brings good change, not
just a habit that brings no impact and progress. Nakasanayan mo lang
gawin, pero hindi ka nababago! It is not love for God, it is being religious!
- Love for God gives us meaning and that meaning leads to a
conscious and willful change!
- God, without people, is still God. Us, without Him, we are nothing!
- In YTR, we find and fulfill our purpose as we love God.

2. Being PERFECT
- Love for God doesn’t mean you are not bound to make mistakes, road to
perfection!
- It simply means that you truly love Him, that His words and directions
become your principle in life and makes you more responsible in
your actions.
 - It also leads you to defy and break your usual perspective and habits ,
ushering you to our last point..

3. Being SELFISH
- Love for God prompts you to love others genuinely.
- It prompts you to fulfill your purpose more than your
self-satisfaction, but for the common good.
- It leads you to dream more, na sana ang impact ng purpose mo ay hindi
lang hanggang sa’yo pero makaabot rin sa ibang tao, sa buong bansa o
sa buong mundo.
- Hence, love for God is also loving and serving others as well!
- So in YTR, hindi tayo masaya na ikaw lang , tayo tayo lang ang
nakakaalam ng purpose mo, naging maayos ang relasyon sa Diyos at
naglingkod at nagmahal sa iba, that’s why we are always promoting
influence.
- Our purpose, our love for God and love for others make us reach 26 years
in reaching the younger generation. We are never content with the impact
that we currently have, we always seek for more and hope for more just
for this nation to be changed and to help people change!
- Walang YTR Member na selfish.

These are our last three core values,

Purpose-driven, Love for God,
and Love for others.

- As a summary, now does it make sense to you. Why is YTR so immersed in
producing Godly, Patriotic and Excellent leaders as you always heard?
- That’s because only a Legit YTR can bring LEGIT IMPACT! Make your best effort
to behold all those, honor and listen to your mentors and coaches… YTR is not
your ordinary organization, YTR is so invested in its mission and vision that’s why
passing the right DNA really matters to the acquisition of our goal, Changing A
Nation, By Changing A Generation!

- After having this month’s series, sikapin mong maging legit!
