 ANALYTICAL
EXPOSITION
• Definisi
Analytical exposition is one of argumentative
texts which present some supporting idea on why
certain writer's opinion is important
Jadi, teks tersebut berfokus pada analisis dan
penjelasan yang mendalam tentang topik yang
dibahas, serta memberikan pendapat penulis tentang
topik tersebut.
 TUJUAN
The purpose and function of analytical
exposition is to express opinions accompanied
by logical arguments so that readers are
convinced that the topic being discussed is
important.
 GENERIC STRUCTURE
This section serves to introduce the
topic that will be discussed in the text.
The introduction usually begins with a
statement of opinion called a thesis
statement. This thesis statement THESIS
contains the author's clear opinion on
the topic, and forms the basis of the
arguments that will be presented in the
text.
2. ARGUMENTS
In this section, the author can explain in
more detail about the topic discussed. In
arguments, the writer also provides
supporting arguments based on logical facts
or data.
3. REITERATION
The last section is the conclusion. Here, the writer will reiterate
the thesis statement and the main arguments that have been
presented earlier. The purpose of reiteration is to remind the
reader of the author's opinion and provide a strong conclusion.

Using simple present tense

Using words that are opinions (seem, feel,

think, know, realize, etc.) .

Connective words ini bisa ditulis dalam bentuk frasa, klausa, kalimat, maupun paragraf.

Untuk menambahkan ide atau pendapat, bisa menggunakan: besides, furthermore, in

addition to, dan lain-lain.
Untuk membandingkan beberapa ide, bisa menggunakan: while, vice versa, whereas, but,
on the other hand, meanwhile, dan lain-lain.
Untuk menunjukkan sebab-akibat, bisa menggunakan: because, by, despite, as a result,
dan lain-lain.
