HISTORY

ANTONIO BERNAL IBAÑEZ 401

HEALTH AND DISEASE
PRE PATHOGENIC PHASE
Vih is a infectious disease propagated by the virus called: immunodeficiency
virus (HIV). HIV is a lentivirus (literally meaning “slow virus”; a member of
the retrovirus family) it slowly enters the body by some Liquids that body
naturally propagates:
blood
Semen and pre-seminal secretions
rectal secretions
vaginal secretions
matern milk
PATHOGENIC PHASE

Once a person is infected by the causes explained in

the prepathogenical phase the virus starts an
incubation phase, this phase is not the same in all
the people because the lenght of this fase depends
on the genetic code and how strong it is on each of
us also about how strong is our inmunologic system.
The incubation of HIV has no signs or synthomps but
youre infected and thats why it is important to do a
HIV test after you have a sexual encounter or once
in a while.
Without medic treatment , HIV advances in stages,
getting worse if you dont have the correct
CLINIC PHASES treatment. HIV destroys the immune system and at
last itcauses acquired immunodeficiency syndrome
(AIDS).
is the first stage of HIV infection, generally developed within 2 or 4
Acute HIV Infection weeks after infection with HIV. During this time, some people have
flu symptoms, like fever or headache, in this phase HIVspread
throughout the body destroying white globules

During this phase the virus reduces its severeness and it may even
Chronic HIV Infection look like if you’ve been already cured but after time you will develop
AIDS without the good treatment. Its important to say you need to
be carefull Aabout gettting sick and you can also infect other
people.

This is the last and most severe phase because you have practicly
AIDS no inmunologic system and any illness can kill you like a flu or small
digestic illness. You can easily infect the disease and the people
with AIDS dont usually survives above 3 years.
