Sabuco: Enter the room- Andito na ako mga ate, andami kong school works about
global economy.
works?.
Sabuco: Eto ate define economic globalization and modern world system.
A great example of Economic globalization is we can go to local store and buy products
from all over the world. Also, the local businesses can easily enter international market
because of economic globalization.
economic globalization kase from here nagpunta pa sya papuntang taiwan para I offer
yung services nya sa bansa na yun. Tulad nung sinabi nung vlogger, I think pasok sya
sa trade ng services which happens through economic globalization.
kase mas nagiging possible at madali yung economic globalization. Tulad nalang nung
produkto at tao.
nagpaparticipate sa economic globalization kase yung form of communication natin
nowadays is madali nalang parang yung pag order natin online sa shopee, lazada, at
tiktok.
nakaroon tayo ng tinatawag na Modern world system “ so sa tingin nyo ano yon “ ( It is
a geographical division of labor. While the basic linkage is economic, the system is
reinforced by political and cultural factors )ang magadang example natin dyan ay yung
semi periphery ( like china or japan ) madalas china sila ang nagiging manufacturer ng
Carlos: Emcee
Welcome to Family Feud. If you win today, you have the chance to get 100,000 pesos.
Let's begin.
Question: Give the actors that facilitate economic globalization.
Sabuco: Ate Alexa ano yung actors that facilitate economic globalization.
They are the ones
who facilitate economic globalization to start new effects and to increase in the standard
of living around into capital services, international movement of groups, technology and
Information. For sure meron diyan na International Economic and Financial
Organizations.
Carlos: Let's see if your answer is on the board. (Show Answer) Correct.
yung tinatawag na IMF (International Monetary Fund) this has 4 aspects, 1st is trade
and transaction 2nd is capital and investment movements worldwide, 3rd is migration
and movement of people and lastly dissemination of knowledge.
Sabuco: Ayun pala yon, for sure meron diyang Non-Governmental Organisations
(NGOs)
Eto kasi definition nyan broadly describes all channels of communication, including
everything from printed paper to digital data. Media comprises news, art, educational
content, and any form of information that can reach or influence people, including
television, radio, books, magazines, and the internet.
Serrano:
Sabuco: Media plays a key role in people’s everyday lives as it helps educate them and
enables them to keep track of the day-to-day news, both local and global. Media is the
best platform for people to get information about what’s happening worldwide and down
the street.
Serrano:Trans-National Corporations,
since from the word itself Trans-National meaning di lang sya nag e-exist ang mga
corporations na toh sa iisang country. They have their brands all over the world. Tulad
but they also have their chains all over the world including here in the Philippines. Isa
pang example is yung paboritong brand mo ng sapatos echo ung Nike. Tsaka yung lagi
natin ginagamit when we're making our reports and presentations para sa school yung
Microsoft. Nagagamit at na-a avail natin sila here in the Philippines and othCarlos: Let's
see if your answer is on the board. Correct.
Serrano:Ano ba yung International Economic and Financial Organizations?
ers can avail it as well all over the world.
operate in many different countries. In fact, they are responsible for the 80% of global
trade according to United Nations Conference on Trade And Development (UNCTAD).
Carlos: You all got it right. Thank you for playing Family Feud.
Mercolita: Wait lipat na natin sa Miss Universe q and a na at pasok yung Philippines,
panoorin natin.
Bien: Global economic integration has the potential to foster mutual prosperity by
facilitating the efficient flow of goods, services, and capital across borders. It promotes
competition, innovation, and specialization, driving economic growth. However,
challenges such as inequality and the vulnerability of interconnected economies to
shocks must be addressed through responsible governance and inclusive policies to
ensure sustainable and equitable development.
Carlos: Wonderful Answer and Our Miss Universe 2023 is Ms. Philippines.
done more harm than good.
Carlos: For me, I disagree with that because free trade have the advantage of lowering
prices as governments cut or remove barriers, giving customers more access to
cheaper and/or higher-quality imported goods. Producers have access to a much larger
pool of possible suppliers or consumers. Additionally, free trade zones can promote
national economic growth, raising living standards for a portion of the general
population.
Bien Sakin naman i agree with that motion since when we say free trade countries are
exporting and importing with no restrictions like no taxes. It is harmful for our economy
specifically to our local workers or businessmen, dahil yung mga import ay lower price
than the local products na mas tatangkilikin ng mga tao. It will be unfair to our local
nangyayri like smuggling. Ikaw anak agree ka ba?
Serrano: I agree na free trade are more harmful kasi yung unfair operation ng
businesses from other countries causes bad practice to local businesses tulad nalang
na nauuso na mga class A na mga gamit or meron pa nga class B and C kung ano ano
pa na nabibili natin sa market. Yung stealing of intellectual property has becoming more
practiced since mas malaki na yung competition kaya yung iba from the local
community is making a way to level the competition because by imitating the products
they can lessen the cost of the material used for that product para mas mabenta nila ng
mas mura din. This practice is the very reason why free trade is more harmful and if not
controlled or stopped it may become a norm.
Mercolita: Sakin global free trade has done more good kase dahil dito mas binibigyan
oil, jewellery, wine, stocks, currencies, and water. Services are also traded, such as in
tourism, banking, consulting, and transportation. Since lahat den naman tayo mag b-
benefit dito.
Sabuco: Thank you po sa mga sagot niyo pero need ko pa po ng ibang insights about
global free trade has done more harm than good.
ASK 4 CLASSMATES
CARLOS: Ayan tapos mo na yung assignment. To sum it up, parinig nga ng natapos
mong assignment.
