Characteristics of the Möller -

TURBUFLOW® ash removal system:
TURBUFLOW ® conveying pipe
O The patented TURBUFLOW® pipe with a secon-
dary pipe on the inside.
O The secondary pipe with special inlet – and
outlet openings and an integrated disk makes
the dense phase conveyance very slow and
therefore of blockages.
O Conveying velocities between 2 m/s at the
beginning and 8 m/s at the end of the convey-
ing pipe can be achieved.
O These extreme low velocities can only be
achieved with the TURBUFLOW® transport
system.

MÖLLER Valve
O The MÖLLER Valve is used as a shut-off valve O The valve can cut through a static column of
on the inlet and also at the point of discharge bulk material, and seals the pressure vessel
of the pressure vessel. with an inflatable seal.
O In the open position the semi-spherical seg-
ment frees the complete cross-section of the
valve.

O The ICC control ensures, that the number of
conveying cycles is minimized.
O Based on conveying pressure and conveying

next conveying cycle.

system for 2 row ESP with 4 fields
Applications:
O pneumatic pressure vessel conveyance
O conveyance of fly ash collected in ESPs or
fabric filters in coal-fired power stations
O direct conveyance up to the silo station

Method of operation :
O Several filter hoppers discharge their ash
through pressure vessels below into a com-
mon TURBUFLOW® pipe.
fig. 4.: View of the complete Multi-TTS ash removal system at power
O From a process point of view the row of pres- station Kiel
sure vessels is treated and controlled as a
single unit.
O The individual vessels do not require a shut-off
device at the discharge.
O A MÖLLER valve is used as a shut-off device to
isolate the end of a row of vessels.
O Systems have been implemented in which 8
vessels are joined to a single TURBUFLOW®
pipe.
O The patent-pending ICC control system reco-
gnizes current ash production by evaluating
the conveyance pressure,conveyance time
and pattern of cycles
O Using this data the ICC control system can cal-
culate which row requires ash removal and
activates operation.
O The vessels in a Multi-TTS system therefore do
not require level switches.
O The Multi-TTS system automatically adjusts to
the actual ash production and therefore ope-
rates highly economically.

Profit from the clear advantages of the

new generation Multi-TTS ash removal
system:
fig 5.: Pressure vessel conveyor hanging from an ESP hopper
O slow conveyance with reduced wear
O no blockages even with a high dust/air ratio
O reliable Valves
O low maintenance and high operational reliabi-
lity
O low power requirements
O fully automatic adjustment of the conveying
cycle to the boiler load
O minimization of conveyance cycles, times and
no. of valve operations
O the Multi-TTS system will give you:
– low maintenance costs
– low energy consumption
– low operating costs fig 6.: MÖLLER Valve between ESP hopper and pressure vessel
