Diane Downs

Hello everyone today I’m going to present my project for the

intermediate 11 about a criminal case made for Diane Downs, I hope you
like it.

Diane Downs was born August 7th of 1955 in Phoenix Arizona, her
childhood wasn’t the best at all, her father started to abuse sexually of
her at the age of 12 years, that left her with some traumas, in the high
school she tried to look older and she also tried to seduce people older
than her.

Diane GET MARRIED years later with the love of her life, Steve Downs
they were happy until like other couples they started to get problems,
they had economic problems and both started to cheat each other, even
knowing that they had two children and the last one on the way, he knew
that this last one was not his, because he had a vasectomy, so they
discussed about that, and they finally broke up.

She totally neglected her daughters because she was looking for a
boyfriend, maybe if she had worried about her children, her children's
wouldn't have told to their grandparents that they were afraid about her.

Diane met someone and they started to date, everything was ok, only he
was waiting for his wife’s signature to divorce, but in one conversation
about children he told her that he didn’t want them in his life.

Now knowing the situation, I’m going to tell you what happened.

One day Diane was driving on a quiet road, at least a man appeared and
he tried to steal her car, but she didn’t leave the vehicle. So, the man
shot her and her children and left the scene of the crime. she drove
quickly to the hospital for her children, but it was too late for her middle
daughter and the others were left in a coma.” If i had followed the man’s
instructions, this wouldn’t have happened”. At least that's what she said

She got a lot of interviews while their children recovered in the hospital.
It was very strange because she seemed very calm and sometimes she
laughed at the fact.
But one day her eldest daughter woke up but she couldn't speak

because the bullet passed close to her brain. So she wrote that

ACTUALLY, her mother did everything. Diane stopped her car in

the middle of a dark road, and shot herself and her children to not

look so suspicious. Then she drove slowly so her sons bleed to

death

The police gave her the strongest punishment, life in prison.

If she had chosen better her decisions ,she wouldn’t have ended up in
prison.

Or maybe if she had gone to the therapist, she wouldn´t have shot her
children’s.

Finally, her children recovered and ended up being adopted and

nowadays they have normal lifes. I think it is a happy ending.

I heard a story about the daughter she had in jail but that is a story for
another presentation.
