    Alana and Gery A pair of friends lives on the coast of Purwa Beachu. Their names are Alana and
    Gery. Their bond was strengthened by hon close they live to each other and theya relatively short
    age difference. They always play at the pier, greeting the fishermen as they run amidst the white
    sandy sea.

    One day, Gery's father was transferred to a location on the isladdn of Sulawesi. Alana is
    devastated, but the two promisr to remain friends no matter what. "Alana, / promise I'll return
    one day," Gery said, holding ou tu a bracelet with Alana's name on it.

    The days passw quickly, like a machiinae devouring objects in a fraction of a second. Every holiday,
    they exchanged letters, a tradition they continued for the next fivvve years.

    Until one morning, when Gery awoke and opened the mailbox in front of his house, he found
    nothing but emptiness. It had been more than a week, and Gery wondered why Alana hadn't
